This is a problem related to the HP printer software/driver not installing properly/finishing properly.
So first disconnect the HP printer if u have one.
Next go to Control, Panel, Uninstall a Program or Programs and just remove the HP printer you got and when it's finished restart the computer.
Then download the latest printer software from HP site and then reinstall your printer using that software.

How to Load or Reload"HP Digitalmedia archive" file and 'EZARC.msi to my HP Pavilion a1520n desktop. (XP)

Try this one:
This document pertains to HP and Compaq Desktop PCs with Windows 7, Vista, and XP. An error appears that contains a filename ending with MSI. (MSI refers to the Windows Installer.) This error can appear while Windows is starting up or when a particular software program is opened. This error might appear after using a Registry Cleaner or Registry Fix tool.
See the following error examples. Your error might be slightly different, but it has a filename that refers to or ends with MSI.
The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'TrayApp.msi' in the box below.
'HPProductAssistant' the feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available.

  • HP application recovery process (Windows XP)
  • If errors persist, you can clean up the MSI registry entries by using Microsoft's automated solution. For more information, see Fix problems with programs that can't be installed or uninstalled (in English).
Preventing MSI errors To prevent these errors from occurring, make sure that registry cleaning and spyware removal utilities do not remove files and registry entries associated with your software. Instead, if you no longer use a particular software title and want to remove all references from the registry, remove the software by using the Add or Remove Programs tool in Control Panel. The software uninstaller will remove the associated entries from the registry.
Some products available for free on the Internet suggest that the registry needs regular maintenance or cleaning. However, use extreme caution when installing and using a registry cleaner. Many registry cleaners generate other MSI errors because they do not recognize valid registry entries and delete them. This can cause more MSI errors and prevent other programs from working.
If you do decide to install a registry cleaner, be sure to research the product thoroughly, and then download and install programs only from software publishers that you trust .

    Missing movie plus x5.msi

An MSI file is a windows installation application.

You're missing the application that installs the application :p

More or less, you're going to have to download the MSI version of that application for this to fix.

When ever i scan my document it is showing an error of scan.msi file is missing

Scan.msi is a standard file for almost all HP scanners and All-In-One machines, this is a common problem. You will need to completely uninstall your scanner then reinstall it, this should replace the missing file.

How can I get rid of HpproductAssistant.msi coming on every timeI start my computer

I repeat a solution already posted. I replaced a HP Officejet V40 and then removed the HP software supporting that printer via the Windows install and remove programs. I then had the HPProductAssistant problem. Go to support.microsoft.com/KB/290301 and download Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. Run it, select HPProductAssistant, then Remove. Bad stuff is gone. If you have software problems in the Windows environment it is likely MS has a fix for this.

    Hi Ma`am,

You can stop this message from appearing by deleting it in the start-up configuration. How to do this is go to start then run, on type msconfig. A menu will appear then go to start up tab then uncheck the the HP Product Assistant. After the configuration was done the computer will ask to restart your computer. Try if the popup windows will still appear.
