Check the droplinks for the anti roll bar... some are like ball joints, and they can seize, which causes the symptoms you are getting.

Compressor won't run- light turns on and fan runs.

Greetings.,
Since,I do not have a model number. I will go with most popular..remove the panel that covers the compressor. Please make sure its unplugged from power and remove the little plastic cover that goes over relay..(some do not have cover) being careful to notice how the relay comes off. remove relay and shake it. if you hear a rattle ..its bad...This is not always the case, but for the most part it is....NOTE:::if this is a G/E refrigerator...the compressor is off during defrost, but condenser fan runs and freezer fan is off as well...if so, find defrost timer and advance until compressor comes on..most located under front refrig kickplate or by thermostat(cold contol)

Constant loud noise when frig turns on/comes from bottom

when the compressor is running unplug the ref. and if you hear the noise coming from the compressor then
a ballance spring may be broken inside the compressor.

The compressor will run normally with a broken spring it will just be annoying when it shuts down.

I have a GSS25KGMD fridge. I opened the Fridge compartment top part was very warm and the bottom was cooler. Upon investigating more I noticed that the fridge bulb was very hot. So I pushed the fridge...

Your refrig light switch does control the freezer fan and the refrig light bulb . Replace the refrig light switch .
Open the refrig door , freezer fan goes off and the refrig light comes on .

Rattling from under the hood

I would start by splitting up the drive train to determine if it is accessory, engine or transmission related.
There are a number of things that can cause a problem like this.
1) Is the noise louder in drive or reverse.
2) I would start with heat-shields because of your "clank" description. Exhaust manifold, catalytic converter shields and any other you can find under hood or under body.
3) If all is good, check engine and transmission mounts. Make certain none have collapsed, cracked or broken.
4) If all good, remove all accessory drive belts and start engine to see if noise goes away.
That's a lot to start with, so let me know what you find and we will go from there.
Regards.
