Question about Canon PowerShot SX10 IS Digital Camera

1 Answer

My canon powershot camera goes to set the date and time every time I turn it on. I set the date and time, take a few pictures, turn off the camera, turn it back on again and it ask for the date and time to be set again. This problem developed after a year and a half of no problems. Is there some way to set the clock where it will continue after it is turned off?

Date and time not appear on the pictures

You must have the pictures printed at a Camera Store / Kiosk to have the date imprinted. Very few cams have that feature built in anymore

How do I turn off the date and time stamp on my canon powershot sx110?

The menu on the camera controls the date and time stamp. Turn on the menu i camera mode, there are three choices, Camera, Settings and customize. Time stamp should be in the middle menu. Look for time settings and turn it off. All pictures have time and date always. The time/date stamp just makes it visible in the image.

There is a button battery in your camera (CR1220) that remembers the date and other settings when you remove the main batteries. It probably needs to be replaced. It's in a slide-out holder next to the AA batteries (see page 184 in the manual).

You turn on the date stamp by using the photo size settings. Press the Function key and scroll down to the bottom item (usually L). Then scroll over to the Date Stamp icon (to the right of the L, M1, M2, M3, S options). Press the Function/Set key again.

Cannot turn date stamp on in menu settings.

Date stamp is only possible when you set the resolution (picture size) at "Postcard 1600x1200" option, if the date stamp is set to "Date & Time" or "Date" option
