Question about HP Compaq Presario 2200 Notebook

Where is the wireless button on presario2200 laptop.i can't find it.help me out.keypad has arabian language too.

Its on the front of the computer where the silver and black part meet,its on the rim kinda,to the right of the lock release latch. The button is black and it is on the black part of the computer so its kinda hard to see but,a blue light will come on once you push the wireless controller on. U can see it with the monitor closed or open. I can send pictures if you cant find it just let me know. Hopes this helps.

My son accidently changed the language on our HP Officejet Pro 8500 wireless from english to chinese. How do I change it back?


Give this a try.

1. Press the button with the wrench icon to enter setup.
2. Press the left arrow next to the "OK" button twice.
3. Press the "OK" button twice.
4. Using the keypad type "11".
5. Using the keypad type "1" to confirm.
6. Choose your region by typing the corresponding code using the keypad.
7. Using the keypad type "1" to confirm.

Numeric keypad does not respond.


make sure that the num lock is on. There are 5 indicator lights on the left side of the power button, the first indicator on the left is Num Lock, make sure this is lit up.

n Vista go to "Control Panel/Regional and Language Settings" and select the keyboard language Tab to choose language to suit your keyboard.

I think its "Control Panel/ Regional Settings" in XP. John

My presario2200 laptop will not show or turn on its wireless conn


Check the obvious first (power cables, etc.) Is your laptop getting power? The only other item that may be causing this is the motherboard is either bad or a chip on it has burned out. Replace the motherboard.

goto options on the main menu(spanner icon) then goto localisation (7th setting down from the top and change settings back to english

this is your regional kyboard settings they are set to usa.

what os (operating system) are you running xp, vista etc?

for xp

Stow n go wireless keypad


had the same problem.
try holding the alt key while entering the numeric code and then hitting ENTER on the keypad.
