Disconnect power and remove the three screws attaching the bottom flange of the lower front access panel to the cabinet. Once the screws are removed, pull the panel down and off the cabinet. You can prop up the bottom front edge of the washer or cushion and lean it against the wall to access and remove the screws more easily.

Remove the pump filter by turning the knob counterclockwise and pulling the filter out. Make sure to catch residual water from the filter housing by placing a shallow pan or a piece under the filter housing to avoid flooding your floor.

Washer wont drain showin IE

Sonia, you either have a failed drain pump, or something has bypassed the filter ( bobby pins are notorious for this ) and is jamming up the pump impeller. If you can set the washer to drain/spin and can hear the pump running, you most likely have a impeller that has broken off of the pump motor shaft and will need to be replaced. If you cannot hear the pump running, and can hear a slight humming noise, then there is something jammed in the pump. The pump can be removed and cleared of the possible foriegn object. I can provide instructions on pump removal if needed.

How to drain the washing machine?

the best way to drain the unit is use a wet/dry shop vac and attach it to the end of the drain hose.
once all the water is removed then you can take the small acess panel off the front of the machine and take out the the drain pump plug. look for anything that might be stuck or obstructing the drain pump.
there is a small hole in the acess panel that you need to insert a small screw driver into push the locking tab in and rotate counter clockwise to remove.

Very noisy wash cycle

most times i have found a foriegn object in the pump. sometimes the machine will clear it itself but other times you have to take the pump apart. it is not too difficult but you will need a size T15 and T20 Torx aka (star) bit to get it apart. Just keep taking out screws until the filter flowplate lifts off.

My wnse4200 makes a clunking sound when in the spin cycle and I can stop the drum by hand

you may gave a broken pump. or a bad centrifugal switch. turn the washer on its side(unplug it first of cours) underneath the washer you will see a pump attached to the motor. remove the pump by realeasing the two long clips in there and see if a foriegn object is lodge in there. a problem with the centrifugal switch will require replacing the whole motor. This could also be a problem with the drive gears.
