1950s model GE wall oven wiring diagram - GE 24" Built-in Single Electric Wall Oven - Black

A lot of electric fan ovens run the fan until the oven cools. This ventilated the cavity.

Hopefully this will help. Don't know if it is the same model, but it is a 60s GE built in oven.

Contact GE directly to request a wiring diagram (not a schematic) for model JT950S0y1ss.

There should be a diagram somewhere on the oven. Usually on the top or back or if not, inside the terminal block cover where the electrical supply wires go into the oven. Make sure its turned OFF before you remove any covers.

For anyone installing a replacement oven controller #WB27T10276, there is a GE publication # 31-10515 that should answer your questions. I bought a rebuilt control that did not have this info. with it. Lucky for me, a retail appliance parts store opened a box with a new control in it and copied the instructions for me.

The sensor checks good. The only thing left to check the wiring between the control and the sensor. Check this for opens and shorts. If all checks good you will need to replace the EOC electronis oven control / clock. You can get diagrams and illustrations at www.appliancehelponline.com by entering your model #. All parts come with installation instructions.

I do not have wiring diagram for this ERC. They had never been made available online by GE.

All I can give you is the oven diagram below:

The bake ignitor has failed.Turn off the gas supply. Remove the racks. Then remove the bottom pan cover in the oven to access the ignitor. Place a amp meter on one wire of the ignitor.Turn the BAKE switch on. If it reads less than 3 amps,replace the ignitor.
