Whenever I play music from my computer on my HTR 6290B using the bluetooth YBA-10 there is an annoying high pitched noise. This only happens when using the YBA-10.

SOURCE: High Pitch from the bluetooth

I have had the same issue... initially I was told that I got a bad unit. After replacing the unit, same problem existed. I started working with Yamaha Tech Support US and they seemed to have very little knowledge of the issue, which amazed me after seeing all the discussion of this high pitch issue on the web. After continued back/forth troubleshooting, Yamaha USA acknowledged that they had gotten feedback from Japan validating that there was, in fact, a problem with these units. I sent mine back for a replacement for a NEW release? that reportedly corrects this problem. It has been 3 weeks since they received my unit... still nothing back. Bottom line, I will never buy another piece of Yamy equipment. Their tech support is horrendous, they seem to have limited knowledge and it takes forever to hear back. If you are having this problem, go back to Yamaha and demand that they send you the updated unit.

Says searching but never connects. the yba-10 blinks boes not connect

On RXV3900 using the remote there is a submenu for YBA-10WH (submenu shows Trim, Pair, Connect). Selecting Pair causes the YBA-10WH blue light to flash. Once iPod has Bluetooth set to ON it then displays a box showing "YBA-10WH not connected".

First attempt to connect requires tapping this box which produces the invitation to enter a 4 digit pass code. I had several attempts using pass code for my iPhone - all failed giving message "Make sure yba-10 yamaha is turned on in range and ready to pair". I finally tried keying in a pass code 0 0 0 0 and it paired!

Once turned off subsequent attempts to enable Bluetooth were much easier requiring tapping of the box but not requiring entry of any pass code.

Turn off seems to work easiest by using the remote to select the "Connect" option on the submenu and then selecting Enter on the remote - this caues display of "Disconnected" message on the RXV3900 screen.

Now works fine!

Iphone 4 pairing with yba-10

On your phone, make sure bluetooth is turned on (settings, general).

While your phone is in discovery mode, turn your bluetooth device on and put it in discovery mode (usually you have to hold the power button for 7-10 seconds).

Your phone will find the device, and you will be prompted to enter the devises PIN number (often 0-0-0-0). Your phone should pair with the device then.

Ambient sound is louder than the music

Hi,
I have a Mac (OS X 10.5.7) and had the same problem with the Ion TTUSB system picking up room noise. This seemed to fix it:
In System Preference, under Hardware, choose "Sound".
Choose "Input".
Under "Choose a device for sound input" choose USB Audio CODEC  type: USB

I hope this helps,
Cheers!
