Hi!

You need to folloow the steps below if Diag Led lights keeps on flashing overtime:

Click start then access control panel Go to Local area connection - properties - internet protocol/TCP-IP then use the IP Address: 192.168.1.50 and Subnet Mask:
255.255.255.0. after these download the most recent firmware version for your router that can be downloaded from your router's manufacturer website. Restart your devices after firmware version upgrade.

Should you have any other questions just please leave a message.

Cheers~

SOURCE: I lost power, when this

Hello

Yes, this is most probably the case. If you are very lucky you might have only damaged the firmware, but, it is a long shot. Have a look if a firmware upgrade does the trick, otherwise, sorry man.

Let me know if you found this helpful.

Kind regards
Andrea

sounds like a bad firmware updgrade,

roll back the firmware by redoing the upgrade with your backup that you made prior to the upgrade.

you made a backup right? they may provide older firmwares on the manfactures website linksys is usually good about this.

Linksys orange reserve light preventing me from connecting to internet

Does it say diag on the orange LED. if it does, that means there is a problem with the actual hardware. try pressing the reset button on the router for 20 sec, unplug the power of the router for a minute, plug it back in and wait for the power light to stay steady for 1-2 minutes.

Power light is on and doesnt blink, Link light is solid green and there's a red light on the "diag". when I try to plug a Lan cable into the router I get no up link. My friend ask me to take a look at the...

You said there is a diag light lit up on the router.
In that case you can try to reset the rotuer for 30seconds . unplug the power and plug it back in. wait for a minute.
Check the lights on the rotuer. If you still see the diag light then try to reset the rotuer again. If there is a diag light on the router then the rotuer is not working.
Try to reset the rotuer for 2 - 3 times . power cycle the router till you get no diag light.
Once the diag light is gone then reconfigure the router.
Connect the modem to WAN port and computer to one of the 4 ports. Do not conenct anything to the uplink port.
Reconfigure the router.

Lost my connection to wire less router , the phones were down last week and after that we have to plug into router

powercycle your homenetwork. this step works 90% of the time. to powercycle your homenetwork, shut pc down, unlpug the power cable from the router, then unplug the power cable from the modem. give atleast 10 -15 seconds for your devices to refresh the connection. then in turning them back on, replug the power cable for the modem first, with for the sync light be turn solid, replug power cable for the router, then turn pc on.. try pulling up websites, you should be online now. just in case you still can't, bypass the router and connect the modem straight to the pc first. try connecting online, if you can't configure the modem to go online, once done, connect the router back to the equation and reconfigure its settings. you the should be up and running. i can help more if you'll tell me what's the modem and the router..

Power and Diag lights blink.

When the diag and power light always blink it only means one thing there's a problem with the router, Try tor eset it by pressing the reset button for 30 seconds then after that tunr off the power for 5 seconds then trun it back on, of the diag and power light are still blinking the router is already bad and needs a replacemenet, If the router is still under warranty have it replace to Linksys this is the number 800-3267114.

Hope that helps.........

Linksys WRT54G router

Yes there's a possibility that the router is dead already because that diag light will only be lit up when there's a hardware failure on it, you can try press resetting the router by holding the reset button for 30 seconds then power it off then power back on hopefully the diag light will be off, if still on you need to replace the router already...

Hope that helps.........
