Question about Facebook Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I am trying to sign up for Facebook, but can not do so. I continue to receive the message that my AOL email address is already in use. It is by me. I wonder if my name input is not an exact match with what AOL has. Just a thought. Please help. Thanks, R.J.

The way you described your problem it seems that in past also you have tried to register with facebook using the same mail id. Now you have only one option try to login on the facebook using the same mail id and password if you use unique password everywhere or else you will have to create a new mail id and register.

I changed my email address from lrcotton@aol to lrcotton1@aol. However, I can't get into my facebook on the new email address. how can I do that??

You have to sign into facebook with your old email address, and then go into settings and update facebook with your new email address. You can get to it through a web browser, by clicking on the triangle in the upper right side of the facebook bar at the top of the screen, then go to settings.

On the phone app, its the three lines, scroll down to account settnigs, then general.

In the process of trying to sign up for Facebook, I received the message that my E-mail address has already been used. What do I do now?

If the email address that you are trying to use is your own, just have them send you a link to reset the password. Just go into facebook and click on forgot password and enter your email address and they will send you a link to that address and then you will be able to reset your password..

How do you send a pic from your phone to facebook

You can use your email address to send custom load photos or videos from your mobile phone. The content you send will appear on the album moving loads. Since this is your personal email address that allows you to load content directly into your Facebook account, you should not share with anyone else.

The message subject will be used as the bottom of the photo or video, or been updated if your message does not include any photos or video. Note that the photos and videos uploaded through the mail are visible to all by default, but you can change the privacy settings of any photo album Photo accessing the page and clicking "Privacy of the album."

To find your email address custom load, go into your account and access to the "Facebook Mobile".

Just follow the few steps below: 1. Go to the picture in your cellphone which you wish to send to Facebook.
2. Select either the Send as email or Email photo function in the menu on your cellphone.
3. When a new message appears (with the selected photo attached), key in mobile@facebook.com in the 'To:' Textbox.
4. Key in the title of your photo in the subject column.
5. Choose 'Send'.
6. Once your cellphone receives an email of notification from Facebook, you will receive a code or password.
7. Check that you are logged onto your Facebook account and go to Facebook
8. Click on the Activate Facebook Mobile button.
9. Click on 'Sign Up Here' and 'Confirm your phone' at the bottom of the page.
10. Look for the Beneath the 'Already have a confirmation code' and click.
11. Key in your password when prompted with 'Input the code you received in your email' and 'Confirm'.

Hope this helps (remember to rate and comment this free answer).

Can't sign in on facebook on mobile

You must be able to receive text messages in order to sign up using a mobile number. If you are unable to receive text messages, or have trouble receiving one when you try to sign up with your mobile number, try registering using an email address instead. You can do this by clicking the "Register using your email" link on the sign up page on the mobile site, or by signing up on the computer.

If you are still experiencing issues, you can always try signing up on the full site by going to www.facebook.com

Hope this helps. Thank you for using Fixya! Hope I helped you with your problem.

Someone hacked into my account and sending out a virus I am connecting from aol

Guess what? As much as it seems that your account was hacked, it wasn't. Someone "spoofed" your email address as the "Reply To".

Example, If I send a spam email message from my HotMail account and then "adjust" my email account to have the "Reply to" set to "jmamadonna06 at aol", then YOUR AOL account will start receiving the "non-deliverable" messages and hate mail.
Nothing you can do about it, even if you change your password.
We all have to deal with it ... so relax ... your email account was not compromised.

Enter password facebook

Have you tried registering a 'new' Facebook account with your email address? This will act as a check to see if your email address is on the Facebook database.

If it is you will get the message:
'An account associated with this email address already exists'

If not then you can carry on registering...
