I'm installed a brand new Mother Board ASUS P5QPL-AM + E2200, and using Kingston kvr667d2n5/512. when i turn the power on, Fan, keyboard, mouse and the other are all on, except the monitor, and there a beep code, 1 long and 2 short. is it a VGA problem ?? what should i do ??? can it be solved just by installing expansion VGA card ?? thank you !

Yes it could be a video/motherboard problem.
1st Install a different RAM module because the RAM may be faullty and the on-board video card uses part of the RAM (shared memory).
If this works then the RAM is either faulty or incompatible.
2nd. Try installing a video card in the AGP expansion slot.

I don't know your mother board can do it or not. But i can start by mouse on Gigabyte and Asus mother board. Restart your PC and enter bios by press "del" or "F2" key. find in power or boot menu, there are some options:
- power by alarm
- power on by mouse
- power on by keyboard
enable your choice and press F10 to save and quit.

Hey there. Your motherboard is most likely faulty and is causing shorts inside the keyboards and mouses. You should get a replacement from your retailer for the motherboard.

remove all add on cards, connect only m. board and processor no memory it must be beep sign. if not then check or replace power supply, if all work insert memory and boot to bios then continue add all needed hdd and pci card.

Keyboard, mouse, screen do not function?


you may have a bad mother board or power supply,however try a few of these,bare bone the system,no mouse keyboard,only monitor,remove all internal cards,power on.If no go remove memory ,power on if you get beep tones the motherboard is good.Question for you did the fan turn during these steps.Do you have a amber light on the power button,if you do the answer is you have a bad power supply.

Intel processor E2200 LGA775 not working


This motherboard supports Intel single core Pentium 4/ Celeron processors, according to the asus website.
So your dual core is not supported.
You need to get a intel pentium 4 or celeron processor
