This issues looking printer head problem. check the following Steps for cleaning printer head :

  1. Click on the Start button if you have Windows XP. If you have Windows Vista, click the Windows icon that resides in the lower left corner of your computer screen.
  2. Click on "Control Panel," then "Printers and Other Hardware." Finally click on "View Installed Printers or Fax Printers."
  3. Right-click on the name of your printer and choose "Printing Preferences." This should open a new window; next look for a tab or button marked Maintenance, or something similar.
  4. Find the button that says "Print heads" or "Clean the Print heads" and click on it. You may be asked to choose which print heads; choose them all if you are. Make sure there is paper and ink in your printer, and that it is turned on ahead of time.
  5. Take out the page your printer has printed and see if there are any grids or boxes missing. If there aren't, then you can just exit the program--your print heads are not clogged. If there are grids missing, then click on the "Cleaning" or similarly worded button.
  6. Once the cleaning process has completed, print another page to be sure that your print heads are no longer clogged. If they are still clogged, repeat Steps 1-5 until your printer is printing clearly.

My printer is making a loud squeal.

If it makes a loud squeal and does not print then you may have a cartridge with a jammed drum in it. Try a different cartridge.

How do I fix a squealing hp laserjet 2300n

What sort of squealing? While it prints, when you first turn it on? The time during printing would tell a lot about what it is. Post back some better details and I might be steer you in the right direction.

Canon mf8380cdw squeals when starting up

Squeals are often a lubrication issue. Can you tell where the squeal is. Front, back, side. sometimes it's hard to tell because sound bounces and could be from anywhere. Does it go away right after first print or after warm up cycle?. Delicate equipment does operate better in the proper environment. The manual will usually tell you what room temp machine will work better in.Try to get a better idea of where noise starts Depending on how long you have had it and the print count it may need to be checked out by tech..

Try with another cartridge first.

Printer may have gears with broken teeth.

Oiling will not help.

Try replacing the Drum Unit, this is a problem I have encountered many times as a service technician. most recently I had one that was at 89% remaining and every time the unit begins the print process it makes a high pitched squeal.

Hp laser jet all leds on and not working

The surge protector or UPS may not be allowing sufficient voltage through to the printer. HP printers do not have built in speakers of any kind. Because of this, they are not capable of making any beeping or squealing sounds. If any noises such as these are heard then the printer is probably connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) or a backup battery. To verify that the UPS is the source of the noise, plug the printer directly into a wall outlet bypassing the UPS.

The following are common symptoms:
  • High pitched squealing, beeping sounds, or alarms (UPS)
NOTE: Noise over the phone line can also cause high-pitched squeals and beeping sounds.
  • Inexplicable or false error messages
  • Printer will not "wake up" from sleep mode
  • Printer appears to be DOA
  • Incorrect printout
  • Slower than normal printing
  • The printer control panel display is blank or shows garbled characters
  • Accessories, such as attached copier/scanners, do not function properly
  • Monitor loses power or shuts off
  • Computer reboots when job is printing
  • Job only prints half way, causing a paper jam

If it is necessary for the product to be connected to the above-mentioned devices, consider the following items:
  • There are many UPS configurations and load conditions that can affect proper printer operation. Depending on these configurations or load conditions, printer functionality cannot be predicted.
  • No damage to current HP LaserJet products will occur, but, depending on their particular UPS configuration, the printer may or may not operate properly.
  • Printing while on a UPS battery backup is not recommended because of the large power requirements of HP LaserJet products.
  • If the HP LaserJet printer is not operating properly and power line conditions are suspected, try a different circuit (a different wall plug located away from the current one), or try removing it from the UPS.

Xerox WorkCentre M15i squeals when printing and copying.

Do not only lubricate metal shafts, but promptly lubricate the "pulleys" on the right and left side.  the will look very similar to a wheek and pulley mechanism.  The squeal happens when one "bar" connects two "wheels" and one side moves faster than the other.
