Trampoline safety tips

According to the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons
there are over 300,000 trampoline related injuries every year in the United
States. Many of these accidents are
caused by carelessness and a large percentage can be avoided with a few simple
precautions.

Buy padding to cover the springs, hooks and
frame of the trampoline; look for pads that are of a contrasting color to the
mat of the trampoline

Use something to cushion the surrounding area of
the trampoline - as well as underneath

Do not allow any children under the age of 6 to
jump on the trampoline

Institute a "one-at-a-time" rule for jumping

Ensure children are supervised at all times

Set up your trampoline away from structures,
trees or other play areas

Take a moment to inspect the trampoline prior to
every use

Remember, you can never be too safe when dealing with a
trampoline. Use these basic prevention
methods and talk with your children about exercising caution when jumping on
the trampoline.

Where can I get information about jumps and tricks you can do on a trampoline?

You can find videos and tips online about different tricks and jumps for trampolines, but it's always harder in practice than in theory! Here is a link to the activetoys.co.uk website that gives a basic breakdown of quite a few different tricks. http://www.activetoys.co.uk/shop/sports-equipment/trampolines/information-safety-and-tricks/trampoline-tricks.html

What age is it safe for kids to be using a trampoline?

Trampolines are great fun for kids but you have to follow safety guidelines as a lot of kids get injured using them. Generally kids under the age of 6 should not be on a full trampoline. But read this article on the livestrong website which gives good details about kids and safety on trampolines. http://www.livestrong.com/article/200039-what-age-for-kids-to-use-a-trampoline/

Trampoline net

Hope this helps. The trampoline net will either have a sleeve for flexible poles to form a ring at the top or there will be at least four obvious "loops" to hang from the poles. Then you need to sew the net to secure it to the mat/trampoline itself with rope. A good idea to buy new rope to do this as it wears with use. I have replaced my securing rope with "tie-down" rope from the sporting good department. The soft nylon kind seems to wear better. To sew: use a good knot to secure it to the underside of the trampoline (spring/Loop) then simple go through the net at the bottom skip a few holes come back through the net and go down around the bottom of a spring hold. repeat all the way around.
