If you're using a desktop, look at the back of the tower. You will see there a small green port where you can plug in the speakers.

If you're using a laptop. Look at the front side of the laptop, Try to look for an small icon that looks like headphones. That's where you're gonna plug your speakers in.

Hope this helps!

Can I buy a replacement charging cable?

not sure as this speaker uses a Y usb cable
I found a cable but not sure if it is the required cable as the cable has a 3.5mm stereo cable that goes into p.c. and a usb cable that then plugs into pc on one end and a micro usb plug that goes into the speaker.
check it out and decide if it looks like the same cable. ???

I have Ativa Mobil IT mini speakers and one of the cables slipped out of the pin that plugs into my iPod.

you can have the cable repaired by someone with electronic tech skills. Far less money than buying new speakers.

Cant figure out how to hook them up

Two audio input cables are supplied with the speakers. If your computer has a stereo mini jack, use the cable with a stereo mini plug. Otherwise, use the cable with RCA plugs on both ends. Match the colors on the connectors to the colors on the jacks, red to red and white to white.
The speaker cable is already attached at one end to the accessory speaker. Plug the other end into the TO ACCESSORY SPEAKER jack on the powered speaker.
1. Connect one end of the audio input cable to AUDIO INPUTS A. 2. Connect the other end to your computer's AUDIO OUTPUT jack. We recommend using LINE OUT if your computer sound card offers more than one option. 3. To connect a separate CD-ROM, or another source, repeat steps 1 and 2 using AUDIO INPUTS B.
You must connect the AC power pack to operate the speakers. 1. Plug its cable end into the power jack on the powered speaker. 2. Plug the power pack blades into the wall outlet. 3. Turn on your computer sound source or external sound source.

Rear speakers not working

You might not plug speaker cables correctly in the PC board. The right way is to plug the Rear speaker cable in the middle slot and insert other (Front) speaker cable in just right adjacent to the Rear cable. The left one is the Mic Slot.

How do i connect the boston BA745 comp. speakers to my gateway desktop?

Assuming you have the BA745 2.1 speaker set up, all of the cables connect to the subwoofer and then to the computer or the satellite speakers (these are built into the speakers IIRC). Take the cable with the black box (2 pins) to red and green. The red and green plugs go into the matching color ports on the computer and the pins on the black end fit into the jacks between the those for the two satellites. Plug the single end speaker cable into the subwoofer port all the way to the right on the back of the subwoofer. Plug the wire with the two plugs into the matching color jacks (blue to the left, red to the right). Then plug in the power adapter cable in the farthest left jack and plug in the other end to a surge protected power strip (that is plugged in and turned on).

I would like to place my bose comanion II speakers across the room from the computer ... wire from computer to speakers are much too short. Are there extensions or replacements?

My guess is you have coax speaker cable -- if so, you can use standard audio cables with RCA plugs -- Radio Shack would have them -- match plugs so you can chain the cablestogether.

If you have twin-axial speaker cable, best approach is to just buy speaker wire of the correct length... or if there are plugs on the current speaker wires, you can splice in enough new speaker wire to reach the new location for the speakers.

Coax looks like a single cable, but has one conduction inside the other.

Twin-axial has two obvious conductors, side-by-side.

Which outlet does the speaker fix in

Ok so most speakers come with only a green cable to plug into the back of the computer. Some of them have a red cable as well and that cable would normally go into the back of the computer by the green cable. The color on the back is normally a maroon color if not red. If you have any other questions please let me know!

Nonworking speakers

For your monitor with built in speakers, there should be a cable usually the plug is green in color, coming from the monitor which needs to be plugged to the back of the computer for the speakers to work. If you don't see a cable, then there is a plug on the monitor where a cable would go.

Yes you can connect external speakers. They plug into the back of the computer. There are usually round ports on the back colored blue, pink, and green. Figure: (sometimes there is more, depending on your computer) The speaker cable plugs into the Green color one.

If you need more help just comment.

The two plugs are what is called Daisy chained this means they are both the same. This is so you can simply hook the speaker to the amp, then from the other plug hook another speaker, then from that speaker hook another speaker, ect...
