Compress seems to stall and blow fuse , the tank will not hold air when switch is off..

There is a one way valve,called a check vale that is in between the pump,and the tank,that keeps the air from forcing back into the pump,this valve is not working.

X585 purple wire at starter is supplying lower voltage than required to start engine.


Maybe losing voltage at ignition switch contact, or one of the safety switches contacts find all switches blow out internal with compressed air and get can of electrical contact cleaner and soak the switches and blow again with compressed air. If this does not fix problem you will have trace problem to affected switch and replace.

It sounds like the pickup tube in the tank is blocked. Try blowing air back through the fuel petcock into the tank- you may need compressed air to get enough pressure, but that shuld blow out any obstructions.They would still be in the tank though and could cause a problem again.

I Have a BRC-200 as well. On the air outlet there is a red twist top to adjust the amount of air it stops at. Turn the red dial in (down) and it will increase the pressure. Turn it out (up) and it will decrease ithe pressure before it stops compressing. If you go to hig, the valve will blow (been there lols). Mine is oil filled btw...

Fuel pump fuse keeps blowing on my 95 Crown Vic


Using a smaller fuse should make the problem happen more often.
A mechanic would unplug the pump harness at the tank and check the circuit for high resistance or a short to ground.
If nothing is found in the harness, I would suspect the pump in the tank.

Hi, when you say you cleaned the carb, did you strip it down and blow all the jets out with compressed air? If so, check that you have fuel flowing into the carb. If all this is ok check the valve clearances. Regards Phil.

After first full tank on air, and you used it, when it kicks back onto recharge the the tank, the motor runs slow and blows 15amp fuse.


Sounds like you need a bigger fuse.What happens is there is no load (air) in the tank so their is no compression and the motor isn't working as hard as when it reach's the cut off point and restarts.Now there is air in the tank which makes the motor work harder and that pulls more than 15 amps and blows the breaker.I would start with a 30 amp and go higher if need be.Thank You for choosing FixYa.com

You really like to do things the hard and questionable way

Did you check fuel pressure?
Do you hear the pump run?
Did you put an amp clamp and meter on the pump fuse?

Why would you blow air into the fuel tank,
to try and ruin countless parts in the EVAP
System?

Don't get air in the system,you turn key and start vehicle,it will
be gone in about 10 seconds,blown through the injectors

The fuel pump may be retired,mechanically or electrically

You'll enjoy removing the fuel tank.

2008 TTR 50 yamaha will only start when starting fluid is sprayed in carb ...and won't stay running


Sounds like your carby needs some attention mr foleymon. Your engine stalls as soon as the starting fluid is used up in the combustion chamber.! 1. Make sure theres fuel in the tank and it's getting to the combustion chamber(never overlook the obvious).In your case there seems to be a blockage in the pilot jet and/or associated air ways.Pull the jets and blow out with compressed air backwards,IE , from the inside of the jet to the outside....Hope this gets you outta trouble.

Keeps stalling out


It sounds like you will have to adjust the governor system to hold the throttle on the motor open more so it doesn't bog the motor down. There should be an adjustment screw at the carb to perform this.

You hit the nail on the head. Chances are the sending unit filter "sock" is clogged. Most of the time you can clear it by blowing compressed air back through the tank.
I would however, inspect the suction line from the fuel pump to the tank for rust obstruction and hoses for de-lamination.
Disconnect the line just before it goes into the tank and try to blow air through it just to make sure it is not rusted shut.
