I got a Fujifilm XP 10 and didn't get a download wire with it. Do I have to buy this separately and where? Do I need download software?

Connecting the camera to the computer requires that you install the software that came with the camera. If you didn't do that, you can still download your pics using a separate card reader.

Try going to their website for a driver update. I know that my old Sony camcorder won't work under vista, have to use the old computer with xp. You might have to find an xp model to work with.
Maybe if you took out the chip and put it into the computer it would download the photos, never tried it but it could work.
Hope it helped a bit.

This camera will work with XP, VISTA or Win 7. All you need to do is use the wires it comes with, the computer will find your camera and then you treat it just like a SEPARATE HARD DRIVE....

Open a New Directory on your computer and copy everything from your camera to that directory.

I have four cameras, and each one works the same. You can buy special software if you want, but it is a waste of money.

You may go to the Fujifilm support site where you could download the appropriate programe or softerware compatible with Vista.

Before you download and install the new program, do uninstall the earlier version.
