You will need to take the front panel off, there are screws inside the dryer door, and then pry up on the top corners with a flat tip, there may be a screw in each bottom corner if the panel is not loose enough to pull away as you will need to disconnect the door switch. then lift the top up. the belt should be centered and tight, more then likely it is not and there are two rollers up against the back of the drum as it is lipped and this helps it roll. Hope this helped tim

My Samsung washer model wa456 will not spin all the way out with even just a few clothes in it and shakes really had, what do I do?

Washers have a switch which disengages the motor if the load is unbalanced. An unbalanced load will cause the drum to spin irradically and bangs against its bumpers Either you are not loading it correctly or one or more of the flexible supports that keep the drum centered, are broken or disconnected.

I have a kenmore 800 series washer that makes a loud slamming noise at the end of the spin cycle. If you lift the lid during the spin cycle the basket slams to a halt immediately. It actually moves the...

Those parts you can check
1/ strings holding the drum were broken causing drum unbalancing when it spins.
2/ Drum bearing also gone. (noise)
3/ 3 slides that located underneath the triangle frame need replaced.

I took my basket out because of an unbalancing problem and water is trapped inside of the basket. The water will not come out. Will this cause my unbalancing problem?

Normally excessive shaking etc is caused by 3 things.
1) Unbalanced load. 2) Brocken spring that suspend drum. 3) Dampers under drum lost damping.
I would expect 3 as likely cause if machine works ok except for when spinning.

The drum seems to bang the side of the machine when starting a spin cycle, the drum also seems to lean over slightly

This is usually caused by an unbalanced load. You will want to stop the machine ASAP when you hear the "banging" noise, and reposition the clothing or towels, whatever you have in the washer at the time, to create a balanced load. If this doesn't help, I would suggest calling a repairman.

Have you checked to see that the waste is not blocked? THis is very common on these machines and causes the pressure switch not to operate, making the machine fail to spin or spin with water in the drum, causing unbalance symptoms.
This is extremely common on Hotpoint machines without a accessible filter. The filter is in the rubber waste pipe under the drum and needs to be removed to be cleaned out. When iti s blocked it also blocks the chamber that operates the pressure switch.
