White dots on screen
I believe it is the digital projection chip that is beginning to fail. Causing white and black spots to appear. To repair this may cost more than a new tv. If you want to attempt it yourself check out the above link. Hope this helps

I have a Samsung hl61a750, and the tv will lose picture while watching, but the sound will remain for about 20-30 seconds, then the tv will turn itself off completely then restart itself. Once it has...

Sounds like you have some bad capacitors on your power supply. If you are good with a soldering iron, this is a simple fix. There is a group of either 1000mf/10v or 2200mf/10v. they will be easy to spot out, because they will be swollen, rounded on the top. Replace them and you should be good to go. If this is something you are not comfortable doing, then I would take it to a authorized service center. You would mostly just pay for labor, as the parts are only a couple of dollars.

Samsung HL61A750 61 Inch 1080P Led Powered DLP HDTV will not stay on. It can be turned on, but 15 or 20 seconds go by and it goes/tunrs off. Everytime.

It sounds like the lamp bulb, I had the same problem and I took the bulb unit out of the back, cleaned it out really good and replaced it, it works fine now and I didn't have to buy a new bulb unit for about $200.00. Good luck.

I was using an hdmi cable purchased online. A friend told me that it might be the 'cheap' hdmi cable. I tried a set of Monster hdmi cables and problem solved. So all hdmi cables are not the same.

Digital Cable Ready Question

Hey barfinkl1,

"Digital cable ready" TV's have a built-in feature that allows them to receive both standard and high definition signals, typically through the use of CableCARD technology instead of a set-top box.

While this specific Samsung model (HL61A750) is not digital cable ready, it does feature both an ATSC and Clear QAM tuner. This means that it should still be able to receive locally broadcast and unscrambled over-the-air digital signals, but will require a set-top cable box to receive any kind of scrambled digital signal.

Hope this helps you out.

Go Ahead. Use Us.
