Automatic transmission not shifting gears

Replacing any fuse after it has blown ,your almost
guaranteed it will blow again

At least you know the circuit with the problem

Now you go to factory wiring diagrams, to see what that
fuse controls & do some testing

Have to have wiring diagrams,be able to read them & know
basic electricity & be able to test your vehicle, then you have
to be able to continue on with professional tools, once the fuse
issue is resolved, if the fuse keeps blowing every few days

You could have wiring issues, more likely inside the trans in the oily
environment ,you could have solenoid or module failure or mechanical trans issues

I would say you can't resolve at home, need professional help

How do you check to find which fuel injector is blowing your 15 amp fuel injection fuses?

Hi K Jones, I'm glad to help!

The only way other then checking the resistance of each Injector would be to unplug one Injector at a time until the fuse doesn't blow then you have found the bad injector. NOTE: Don't rule out a wiring issue grounding out on the engine somewhere because this happens a lot. Hope this helps and have an awesome day K.

The fuse (lighter/accessory plug) keeps burning out in my 2000 cavalier. What else could be the problem?

That won't help, and is never recommended-will only cause further problems down the road. It sounds like the plug is bad and needs replaced, if you can use it and it blows the fuse. They do go bad occasionally.

EFI fuse Keeps Blowing

I had the same problem at one point. My issue was a bad grounding point from the battery to the chassis. I would say check all of your grounding points.

Fuse constantly blows in my car.

Did your radio only work with the tail lights on when the lights did work? There is definarely a short. If you can, get an automatic circuit breaker that fits in olace of the fuse. This is a trick I used when detecting shorts. The breaker will reset every few seconds and you won't have to keep replacing fuses The lights will go on and off as the breaker trips and resets and will stop cycling when you find the problem. This way gives you time to wiggle and wait wiring and connections and even disconnect things to narrow it down.--- Good luck........ Stay focused on any new wiring in the lighting circuit including the bulbs. Anything the switch controls including the switch. The auto breaker is available at parts stores and if you can't get one from a car parts store, Truck dealers do carry them. Get one that is lower than the one it csalls for. Ie; It normally calls for a 15 amp, get a10 amp. It will cycle faster. Do not bypass the fuse for there is a risk of fire. The breaker makes it a one man job . This trick has saved me a ton of diagnostic time.
