Where do I find the switch to the Feed Dog on Brother XL-3500

ARE YOU TRYING TO WIND A BOBBIN? YOUR HAND WHEEL CAN BE PULLED OUTWARDS AND THE DOGS WON'T WORK. THE ADJUSTMENT ON THE TOP WILL CHANGE THE LENGTH OF THE STITCH SO THE LENGTH OF THE FEED DOGS IS CHANGED.

The casing on my bobbin has come loose and now will not stitch right. there seems to be a certain way to have the bobbin casing sitting correctly in the spinning bobbin holster of the machine and i cant...

Does your bobbin case look like this? If so, it has an adjustment that can be made. http://sewingmachine221sale.bizland.com/store/page40.html
There is a small screw on the edge where the thread comes out.
This video shows it. I didn't watch and listen, but I did forward and see that it shows how to do the adjustment.

How do i set the tension on my brother xl-3010 sewing machine . the bottom thread is always in knots but the top stitch is perfect. i do not know which wheel to turn for the bottom tension.

I don't have this machine, but the tension on the bobbin is usually set by the tiny screw on the bobbin case. insert the bobbin into the case so that the thread unrolls counter clockwise. Make sure that there is no lint in the bobbin area.

I have a Brothers XL-3200 which works great but then the bottom thread will bunch up, amass, thread will wind around the bobbin and lock up the machine. It can also break the needle. Can you help me??

Your thread tension needs adjustment.

Most likely it is the lower thread tension (not the upper thread tensioner).

When sewing very thin or very heavy material - it is required to adjust the lower tension as well.

To regulate the lower thread tension - turn the small screw on the tension spring of the bobbin case with a small screwdriver.

To increase tension - turn it clockwise SLIGHTLY.

Make sure your bobbin case is seated right.  It is easy to get it in backwards or tilted, and then it won't pick up.

You may be sewing to fast or your tension may be off. Check in side the bobbin casing for any loose thread peices.

Bobbin case keeps breaking after minimal use

Nope...it didn't work...I got the new case...and still keeps breaking needles...ready to throw the machine right out the window...3 floors up...I think they sent the wrong case...and on e-bay...another vendor wants 36.95 for a case...don't think it is worth this...only paid 150.00 for the machine at Walmart...personally...plastic parts are terrible...I still have a Singer from 1953...and it still sews like a charm...but just goes front and back...no frills...but the oldies are better!

You may have the bobbin case in wrong.  I have this machine, and I know that it is really easy to put the bobbin case in wrong.  Try taking it out and making sure that the little stop is in the front and it is seated down in there and able to wiggle back and forth.  My experience with this machine, until the other day when my cat knocked mine off the table and knocked something out of alignment, is that it just works.  Any time mine hasn't worked, it has either been dirty, needing oil, threaded wrong or the bobbin case wasn't seated right.  In other words, it has always been my fault.
