Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I have a 17hp B&S single cyl and its blowing smoke out of the breather tube

Hello Robert. I'm George. If its blowing smoke out of the breather tube, you probably are having valve problems. You didn't give a whole lot of info on the engine such as does it have Over Head Valves. If it does, you can look on the valve cover and get the Model, Type and Code numbers and give them to the local parts and service center and they can give you the proper Valve Lash settings for the intake and exhaust valves. I would try that first before starting to look for a burnt valve or bent push rod.
Good Luck and Thanks; George

I have a york furnace, pilot light is lit but i have not heat and no air is blowing..this happened last night also and this morning i accidently bumped into the furnace with my sons toy and it started...

Hello,
From what you are telling me here, you have a loose wire inside the furnace. You could try giving it a bump again and it may work. But prbably not for long...
You need to find the bad wire or have someone look at it that can tell where the bad connection is.

Unless your car is a collectable or very very expensive, in my opinion, I would buy a new unit. The cost of sending the factory one in and just getting them to check it over isn't worth it. You could probably pick one up from ebay or your local scrap yard. Wether you buy another factory unit or an aftermarket unit, is up to you. Good luck.
