Why does lenox heat pump not heat in normal heat mode?

The thermostat is not a heat pump thermostat or it is not wired or set up correctly.

Goodman heat pump model gph1442h41aa will not turn on

first confirm that the condensing unit outside is getting power or even a command to come on .check function of thermostat your t-stat may command heat in the cooling mode.instead of the heat mode, being a heating system generated by a cooling condensor. also check bateries in t-stat. make sure breker in the panel box is on ,it is a double breaker usualy marked with an amp rating of 20 ,or a 30 on it . also check disconnect switch located next to your outdoor condensor usualy a gray box on wall of building. make sure its on or diconnect tab is pluged in . hope this was helpful. good luck.

Hooked up new 4 wire fan 2 condensor with a new 2 cap fan runs fine but no compresor?installed as was told with nothing runnng 2 the new cap but the brown wires but compresor isnt kicking on

The compressor could be bad there is two ways to tell with an ohm meter check each lead off the compressor and to ground for continunity or a megometer . You can always try a hard start kit. It is a super capicator that multiplies starting voltage. Have you checked all connections? There might be a low\ high Pressure switch in the referigent lines if that is bad it won't allow the unit to start. Also is it a heat pump or straight a/c the heat pumps have circut control boards in the unit that control everything

How to wire up a thermostat on a bryant model 602bnx030000ab my mother accidently ripped out the thermostat wiring with the weed eater and i need to know how to hook it back up

If the wires are just cut. Splice each wire back together. Other wise look at your tsat and check your wire there; mark your color code(wire color) as they are attached R,G,Y,O,ETC. If you have a heat pump there will be at least four wires and if it is not a heat pump it will have a minimum of two wires. Open your condensor and find the wiring diagram. Compare your colors from the tstat. It will be listed as the letter just as your tstat. Connect accordingly.

AC unit not kicking on...

You need a "Y" terminal. "Y" is pretty standard on every heat pump. It is the wire that will energize the compressor contactor at the outdoor unit, allowing the compressor and condensor fan to run.

Installing programable thermostat it has 5 wire points, i have 7 wires off the unit which ones do i use

For heat pumps........

R = Red wire (hot24v)
G = Green wire (blower motor)
Y = Yellow wire (AC condensor)
C = blue wire (common)
O = Orange wire (reversing valve)
W1 or W2 = White wire (emergency heat)

For gas furnace

Kfr 24w condensor will not run

Check the contactor to see if the contacts are stuck or welded together, if not check to see if you have 24 volts to the contactor, if you do then the thermostat is not opening.
