to clarify I just purchased this used unit from a classifieds ad, and have never used one before. On the keypad there is three buttons, printer, fax and copy it seems to be stuck on copy. I tried to hook it up to my computer to print a document, it seems that I am supposed to be able to press the print button to switch to printing mode, however it won't switch from copy mode. It photocopies well, so the scanner seems to be working, I just want to be able to print with it.

Any previous MODE STORED; for this and other wrogns, as far as possible, parts of the system might still be available, even when an electronic problem occurs. In this case, corresponding information will be displayed, prompting you to isolate the faulty component by pressing AUTO RESET. After this, switch the unit off and on; and copying will again be possible.

My Konica md#7020 copier does not power up to the "touch screen". When I turn on the main power switch the light indicating I am getting power goes on. However when I press the button to turn on...

After the sub power switch is turned on, the Konica name displays for approximately 10 seconds, until initial machine settings are established. Then, the Warm-Up Screen displays for approximately 6 minutes, until the ?xing temperature is reached. The Basic Screen displays after warm-up. Initial settings are shown on the next page. Except for Print Quantity, all initial settings can be changed by the Key Operator.

Can't print to Konica 7030 via Parallel

You do not have the print/scan option installed on your copier. If you did you would have an ethernet port on the machine for network access and when you press the print/scan button on the control panel you would be able to access those functions. The fact that you can not means that the machine can not see that option because it is not installed. The parallel port is common and is used for uploading of firmware into the machine.
Thank You for using Fixya.

KONICA 7020 - Blank copy

I have never heard of a developer moving backwards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???
the motor that runs it, the .... there is too much involved to mention. A developper moving backwards will spill so much toner in the machine anyway.
If you get a copy and then it goes blank, that tells me you have a problem with the SEPERATION UNIT, it may be shorting out causing the paper to rise against the drum giving you blank copies.
A blurr copy tells me there is a problem with the Scanner/Optics area. maybe the rails that the scanner run on are too dry or has a problem, the optics(mirrors) may be misaligned.
Not sure what you mean by (hanging) ??

Konica Minolta Magicolor 2400W -- Only Prints on Reboot!

I've had that problem before too, and found out that there were copies of the printer that had somehow installed themselves on my computer. All I needed to do was to choose to print with "konica minolta copy 1" instead of the one that I *thought* was installed and it worked. I then deleted the original printer and just stuck with the copy.
