Hi,
How do you get Win 7 installed on your Acer Aspire 5002WLMi? I tried but it gets to the point where it says its preparing the computer for first use, then the screen goes black. Whenever I turni it off (using the power button) and turn it back on, I see the windows logo, then the screen goes black again.
I was trying to install the 32-bit version

Try holding the Fn key, usually blue, while pressing the "num lock" key, which is usually above the 7. This should release the number pad function of the keyboard.
Let me know if this doesn't fix the issue! John Vickers
Sorry, but on the Acer official website, they only have Windows 7 compatible drivers. This means even if you find any driver that installs on the computer, it will not function to its full capacity.
You should upgrade back to Windows 7.
Hello what model is your acer, you just pointed out it was an acer aspire one net book theres different models, however your best bet is when you do find out what model your acer aspire one is, go to google type in your model number then the webcam driver and the operating system which is windows 7, for example: acer aspire one netbook zg5 windows 7 webcam driver.
If your stuck just add what model number your acer aspire one net book is and i will be happy to help you out.
Accept the agreement and click on the "Next" button. Download the software to your computer. Uninstall any previous driver software through Control Panel and then install this new driver. My Acer 5002WLMi works great with Windows7 installed. I upgraded my memory to 2GB as well. Got memory from Crucial.com's website.
Have you checked with Acer that your pc can accept Win 7.0?
if its not compatible then you may be floggin a dead horse with it, I doubt there will be many Win 7.0 drivers available yet for older systems but you may be lucky.
Hi, this may be because the setup cannot expand files required for the instalation from the DVD media. Clean you disk for any dust and if there is lot of scratches then you have to change the DVD and try installing windows 7 again. I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks for the response, but there was nothing in the USB ports
