Question about Bell & Howell BH-10 Digital Camera

1 Answer

My BH-10 camera (USB) works fine with ULEAD Photo Express 4.0(as the download picture from camera tool) , and also works fine with WINDOWS NetMeeting as a video source. So i think the USB Camera Driver that came with the unit is operational on my Windows XP Pro However, i cannot get Skype Ver 4.2.59.187 on the same Win XP machine to recognize the BH-10 USB camera. Totally refuses. Any Ideas? Is it a Driver problem compatibility w/ Skype?

I think the problem is the obsolete operating system you have, XP. It is no longer supported

You should have had a cable come with your camera; one end would plug in to your camera with a small square end, and the other end would connect to your computer. The computer end would be a standard USB end. You should have also received a disc in your box that had software to load onto your computer. Once that software was loaded, you would plug the camera in. Your computer would recognize the camera and startup the software. A box would open and it owuld give you a choice of things to do. Usualy it would give you thumbnail views of all of the pictures in your camera and ask if you wanted to copy only some of the pictures over to the computer, or all of them. It would also allow you to delete all of the pictures from your camera.

WINDOWS 7 NOT RECOGNISING USB OF CASIO ZS10 CAMERA

You need the software that came with your camera. It is on a CD or DVD. You have to install that before you connect the camera. Some brands offer free downloads of the software, and updates. This software only works with camera's of that brand. If you can't find the software, the only thing I can think of is some free software like from Ulead, Pixir, BeFunkey, Gimp, Photoshop express. Or if your camera does have a memory card, buy a external card reader and use that to transfer the pictures and videos to your computer. For that you don't need the camera software.

How get photo saved file

For years, when I bought my Pen camera. Looks the same, but another brand, I became Ulead Photo Express, to upload and manage my pictures on my PC. My guess is you can use lots of programm's for that use.
If you want a driver, you could try to download one from Medion, for their pen drive model MD 40323
Use the next link:
Medion drivers
use the MSN number 50009934

Windows 7: I installed from CD, but the Camera name is not mentioned in Ulead Photo Express and I cannot download my photos

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Having problem with Photo Explosion on Windows 7. Get this error Load MPEG vio Driver Error "ulead.datPE.ini

A way to fix this error which is a font problem is to take the PE.ini from ProgramData\Ulead Systems\Ulead Photo Express\6.0 and stick it in the ulead.dat file in the Program Files (x86) if you have a 64 bit system and then find the u32Comm file in the program files (x86) and change the font to a font where it will not say that error again, I have done this in Windows Vista before and it worked, I also done it in Windows 7 and that also worked allthough right now I can't remember what font so you'll have to trial and error the fonts and maybe the sizes etc. but it's mainly a font error within Photo Explosion Deluxe, 1 problem I'm having is Photo Explosion Deluxe 3.0 loads on one desktop and loads fine newly created desktops but it doesn't load on others. I figure it was made by cheap software creators.

Not doing anything

Hi there, in first replace or check USB cable( it may be have short circuit or is torn off.) If you use OS Windows98 need install driver, if WindowsXP not install any driver, if you install driver in WindowsXP, removed it. For viewing pictures needed install Blaze Video Magic and/or Ulead Photo Express. Read owner's manual, page 40 4.2 Connecting to computer. Manual and driver for Win98 you can get from http://www.mysilvercrest.de/en/artikel.php?a=93&av=2
SilverCrest DV77 is full similar Mustek DV520T. Cheers.

Ulead Photo Express has stopped working

So, the problem: Ulead Photo Express suddenly stops working, uninstalling and reinstalling makes no difference; and yet it still shows up as running in the task manager (probably as IPE.40 or something similar).

After 2 months I FINALLY found a solution and thought I'd come back here to share it, in case it helps anyone else. ;)

(Btw, this may be specific to Photo Express version 4.0, but could still be worth trying for 6.0 or Photo Explosion as well).

According to this page on the Corel forum:
http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=14912 There seems to be a conflict between Photo Express and 'K-Lite Codex pack'. If you've recently installed it, or any other image/media viewer on your system try uninstalling, restart, and then seeing if Photo Express works.

Or if your computer has just come back from the shop after a reinstallation, and photo express won't work on it anymore, check to see if the tech guys there 'helpfully' installed anything on your system that might cause the clash - that's what happened to me. I found the k-lite codec thing, uninstalled it, Photo Express worked just fine at last.

Hope that helped a bit!
Weasel xx
