The camera turned off with the lens out, can't get it to turn on. Tried changing batteries. The light will flash but doesn't do anything. Had for less than a year.

Screen black. Power light on unit flashes red slowly. Power light on switching adaptor power supply flashed green slowly.

Sounds like the battery might be low which would cause the red flashing light and dark screen. Let it charge for a little bit then try turning it on again. If it still does it with the power supply plugged in, make sure there isn't a lens cover on it, and switch modes or try getting into the menu to see if you can get anything to come up. If that still doesn't work then it sounds like there might be a problem with the camera.

I have a kodak easyshare c533 camera and it won't turn on. I tried new batteries but all it does is flash the green light. Any ways to fix this?

Green light flashed, turned red, lens would not open. Put in new rechargeable batteries, still nothing. Someone here suggested to try regular AA cheapie batteries. IT WORKED!

My Kodak Easy Share M340 won't turn on!

If the camera has recently been dropped you may have lens damage that's preventing it from powering up. If it hasn't been dropped your problem may be due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera - which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then clean both ends of the batteries, place them back in the camera and give them a full charge. This cleaning clears the problem about 80% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, it may be time to replace the batteries, or the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

Camera turns on then off immediately

Make sure that you are installing a fresh/ full charge battery
Remove the battery
Clean the metal contacts on the battery using a clean cloth

Pls test with an alt. batt.
If you do not have access to a dif. battery.
Pls. take the batt out of the camera. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the batt. If not you will need to order a No power repair.

Lens stuck error 306

Do a system reset. Also, make sure the battery is fully charged. Pull the battery out then replace after 30 seconds.

Wont turn on but light is blinking

Are there any error messages on the LCD display?

Will the camera lens stay out when the camera is turned on?

Can you still take a photo/flash/sound without seeing the photo?

If the camera will not turn on even with a fresh set of batteries it could have a system or lens error in the camera.

a possible lens jamb when closed and the green led on top comes on then shuts off after the lens attemps to extend but cant.

Red light continually flashes, and won't take picture

Set the camera to anything except no flash. Turn it off. Take out the battery. Wait 5-10 seconds. Put the battery back in. The flash should now work until you turn the camera off again (and then you must remove/replace the battery to get the flash working again).

The flash requires some kind of "master reset" to work. Haven't found a permanent solution to this.
