You will find compatible battery for model 4501 at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

http://shaveroutlet.com/shaver-replacement-battery-aa-nimh-p-108.html

to open the shaver you will need to remove the two round screw covers on the bottom. Then remove the screws underneath. Next, remomve the foil and cutters and then remove the swivel frame be taking out the tiny screw on each side. Pay attention to which way the swivel frame goes on.
You can now seperate the front and back by gently prying apart at the bottom. Inside you will be able to lift out the circuit board. For easier replacement, it is sometimes suggested that you use a modified installation technique. This is to break the tabs off of the old batteries rather than unsoldering them from the circuit board. This allows the old batteries to be removed but leaves the tabs attached to the circuit board. You can then solder the tabs from the new batteries to the old existing tabs.
Reassemble in reverse order

Model R-9500 has been discontinued for several years. It is very possible that the batteries are dead because they are so old. You may need to replace them. You will find the correct battery type at shaveroutlet.com. See link below. You will need 2

http://shaveroutlet.com/shaver-replacement-parts/batteries/shaver-battery-pack-for-most-shavers-p-211.html

To change batteries, remove three screws on back. The third screw is hard to see. To access it, you will need to remove the trimmer from the point that it pivots out from the shaver. Use a small flat screwdriver to gently pry the small plastic pegs from their corresponding sockets on the shaver body. Remove back cover. Inside, remove the metal clip that covers the batteries near the bottom of the shaver. Unsolder the batteries from the wires. Solder in the new batteries.

If you are not able to repair the shaver yourself, shaveroutlet.com can do it for you. See link below

Anyone know HOW to change the battery on the Remington Titanium R-950 shaver? Also, I am not sure if the battery is no good or the power cord is no good. Any one have any experience with this shaver?...

It is doubtful that the cord is the problem unless there is visable damage to the cord. Most likely, the batteries are dead. You will find the correct replacement battery type at shaveroutlet.com. See link below. You will need 2

http://shaveroutlet.com/shaver-replacement-parts/batteries/shaver-battery-pack-for-most-shavers-p-211.html

To change them, take off the back cover by removing the screws. Inside you will see the two batteries. There may be some black tape on the ends. If so remove the tape so that you can get to the tabs on the batteries. Unsolder the old batteries from the wires and solder in the new batteries

If you are not equipped to do this yourself, shaveroutlet.com can do it for you. See link below for information and ordering

One morning the shaver was hot to the touch (I leave it plugged in because the batterys won't hold power) and it hasn't worked since. Will new batterys fix the shaver?

If the old batteries haven't corroded and ruined the inside of the shaver, you should be able to fix it with just changing the batteries. You will find batteries for model 3805XL at shaveroutlet.com. See link below.

This is to break the tabs off of the old batteries rather than unsoldering them from the circuit board. This allows the old batteries to be removed but leaves the tabs attached to the circuit board. if the shaver is DEAD and the green light no longer illuminates when you plug it in, the circuit board is almost certainly bad. The circuit board will burn out if you run the shaver from the batteries for a long time after the batteries have stopped charing properly.
you can purchase a new circuit board which has the batteries alrady on it. it just needs to be dropped in place inside the shaver.
you will find this part at shaveroutlet.com. see link below

When your shavers batteries get old enough, they will internally short out or severely corrode. If they internally short out, you will not be able to run the shaver even on the cord. If the batteries are severely corroded, the corrosion may interfere with the switch or wiring causing it not to work. To get it running, you will need to change the batteries and maybe do some work with the wiring and/or switch.

My braun Flex 6520 does not turn on. When the cord is plugged in no red or green lights come on. Is this a costly repair? Would it be better to buy new as this razor is approximatley 5-6 years old?

The cost to repair this isn't going to be nearly as much as a new Braun shaver as nice as this one.

The problem is that your rechargeable batteries have become degraded to the point that they won't take and hold a charge. Because the batteries have become so degraded, that even with the power cord plugged into an outlet, you still can't use the razor solely on AC power either.

If you want to have the shaver repaired for you, you can contact www.electricshaver.com or give them a call at 1-888-476-1785 to get an estimate of the repair costs. Typically it takes about a week or less once they receive your shaver. They also stock most parts for many brands of shavers, including your Braun. I've used them for getting parts for several of my shavers and found them to be a very good company.

If you're handy and have a soldering iron you can disassemble the shaver and remove (unsolder) the bad batteries and solder in a new set. There are two small caps on the bottom of the razor that cover the screws that hold the body havlves together. Remove these with a small pick or small flat bladed screwdriver and remove the screws and carefully remove the body halves and that will let you get to the main board and the batteries.

Simply heat up your soldering iron and melt the end tabs off the batteries and remove them. Then solder in the new ones and make sure they are properly secured and have adequate solder on the tabs for a good connection. Put the covers back on and install the screws and and the caps and your all set for recharging the shaver. Let it charge for at least 8 hours and you should be all set!

So whether you decide to have the repair done for you, or do it yourself, I hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

I have a braun 360 razor. I yr old, seldom used, and it wont turn on.. I takes a charge and when i plug it directly in to the outlet it still wont turn on..

Your battery has degraded to the point that it won't hold a charge and also won't pass voltage/current and thus doesn't work even when plugged into the outlet.

You need to replace the rechargeable batteries to get your razor working again. If you want to do this yourself, check my other posts on how to access the internal circuit board and unsoldering the faulty battery and replacing it with a new one.

You can also contact Electric Shaver Service at 1-888-476-1785 to get an estimate for them to do the repair for you. They are reliable and quick with repairs usually done within a week from reciept.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
