Hi, Make sure your Bluetooth module is actually installed, if this is a newly acquired laptop. If you have been using BT with it previously, check your driver/bluetooth software to be assured it is active and current. This is true with XP and Vista. Drivers are not always up to date on these older computers, if you have updated to Windows 7.

Also, take the battery out and check the Bluetooth module connections, making sure the antenna is properly plugged into the module. Let us know if you still have the same problem.

Thanks, Bill

How do you turn on wifi for dell latitude d610

There is not wireless switch on this model. To turn on your wireless you will need to hold down FN + F2. If this does not turn on your wireless its most probably disabled in the Bios. To enable it, press the F2 key at the Dell Logo on startup, move down to wireless, press enter and move to wireless control, make sure its set to Fn+F2/App, then move down to wireless devices and make sure it set to on. Press Esc, and save changes and exit.

My WiFi light is not lit up on my Inspiron 1520. I cannot detect any wireless networks.

In Dell Inspiron 1520 Notebook, there is a switch on the left hand side of the laptop to enable/ disable Wifi. Make sure that it is on and with wireless light activated - Press and hold Fn and press F2 (Fn+F2). This will enable the wi-fi and you will be able to detect and connect to a wi-fi network

Let me know if any further clarification/ assistance is required.

Dont forget to appreciate the solution if I could have been of any help!

many latitudes are sold without wifi and/or bluetooth devices built in.
Bluetooth device is under the strip just beneath the screen (where power button is)
Open the lid on the backside of your computer on the left side (under tge 'A' button If you see just two loose cables and no board then you have no wifi in your laptop. !with missing boards the blue light is still switchable with Fn-F2!
