I have a Fraser Johnston furnace model #PCUHALD12N060C That acts like the flame indicator is faulty. It will ignite and 5-20 seconds later it shuts the gas off. I have replaced the indicator. Any sug?

Thomas, the 'flame indicator' to which you refer is a portion of the safety circuit called the 'flame rectification' circuit. Typically, the flame rod or possibly the igniter itself complets the ground circuit in the circuit board as flame is established. This is a very low amperage, as low as 4 MICRO-amps and can only be read with a Micro-ammeter. Many times, if the problem persists after the flame rod has been replaced, it is slight corrosion on one or more of the spade clip connections on the ground wire at the pilot assembly or at the circuit board itself. It takes verrrrry little corrosion to interupt that verrrrrry tiny signal and a shining up of the connections many times rectifies the problem.

The fact that the gas ignites and stays on for near 20 seconds indicates there IS a signal getting back to the board, but its borderline in its ability to being strong enough to 'prove' the flame.

Fraser Johnston Furnace - Not heating

Check the furnace filter to make sure its not dirty . Dity airvfilters can cause the furnace to overheat and shut off on a high temperature limit switch when the switchs cools down it resets but the furnace has to be shut off to reset the control board. Hope this helps.

I'm interested in buying this furnace from someone. it is new and wrapped in plastic so i took a picture and thought i could find out about it model #tg9s100 c16 mp 11 95% what year is it and how can...

the company that makes this unit (Fraser Johnston) has the ISO 2001 logo on their
website. The compliance date for ISO is between 2008 and November 2010 so
I would venture a solid guess that the 9 in the first 3 digits is the manufacturing year

I need a part number for a pressure switch for an Amana Furnace GUCA070BX40

Check this out. You ave to apply negative pressure to make the reed switch click, that means you have to apply suction to the switch to check it. most of these switchs ain't the problem. Blocked tubing yes bad switch naw.

Carrier 58 Series Furnace Blower Motor Won't Shut Off

Yes. If the high limit is tripped, the furnace will bring on the fan continuously until the limit resets. Often, they will not reset if tripped repeatedly. If the furnace is too large for your application, you probably are not able to move enough air to keep the heat exchanger cool enough.
