Usually the manual to this item can be found inside the carrier itself. Unfortunately, it wasn't obvious to me how to open the carrier.
There are two release tabs on each side of the carrier. If you pull these upwards, the carrier will open up like a clamshell. But you can still try this link.

Wondering if there is a special way to move handle from upright position on the carry me near bassinet?
They're buttons hidden right at the base of the handle on the inside under the fabric. just push those down. I had a hell of a time myself...lol.

I have a first years bassinet Model # Y11047, I need to know how to get the "carry-me-near ergonomic handle back down once it is in th carrying position. I don't see any buttons to release the handle
Ther are two levers on the bottom of the handle that you have to pull up to release the handle to be moved. It would be the same ones when unfolding from the travel postion.

No Instructions for First Years 5 in 1 Bassinet
I couldn't find my manual at first, and then discovered that the instructions were inside the carrier itself. Unfortunately, it wasn't obvious to me how to open the carrier.

There are two release tabs on each side of the carrier. If you pull these upwards, the carrier will open up like a clamshell.
