Question about Sharp Televison & Video

1 Answer

We have a 2000 tv. Never had a problem until a few months ago when the timer button (on tv) would go on. We would unplug the tv and plug it back in and it worked. Now it has been 11 days when the timer button came on automatically and wont go off. Help. MY CHILDREN ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY. What do we do?

Forgotten how to turn it on. It seems to be set on timer. Oops

push stop button for a few seconds until it beeps or the readout changes. unplug,,,,,plug back in....push "Select" or "menu" button depending on which machine you have....push again and again until the program you want is on the display or readout. Then push the "start" button ....Don't push any timer buttons or arrows!

Tv will not turn on. timer light constantly blinks

If you can get into the main menu go to load factory default and reboot, This will reload factory settings and this operation will erase all unwanted settings and load back to factory default. so you can load your own settings and take back control of your tv.

Philips 42PF9956/37 Plasma TV - Looking for y sustain board

it isnt the Y-SUS board, it is the Power supply, iv fixed this exact problem twice in the last month, try turning the tv on, and when it turns green, unplug it real fast, while light is still green, after 15 seconds plug it back in, then hit the power button, if it dont come on, hit the power button again, this time, as soon as it turns off, hit the power button again to turn back on, sometimes you can trick the tv and it will turn on, at least i was able to do it, and once it comes on, it should work fine, untill you turn it off again.

Had to mess with the batteries, BUT Finally it quit entirely several months ago. I have tried everything... batteries, unplug TV, press each button on remote, etc... just bought a new remote, and tried all the above 'fixes' AGAIN nothing has worked. read mattymcmatt's fix of unplugging tv held down the on button on the tv for little over a minute, plugged tv back in and and VIOLA my remote is now WORKING!!! thankyou matty!!!!

It turns off

The e1 code is a demand to clean the filter. It means the unit has been running for 720 hours. It does not mean anything is broken...unless it hasn't been running for 720 hours. That would mean the "clean the filter" timer is broken! There are 2 reset methods.

1) Unplug the machine. Hold down the power button while plugging it back in and wait until it beeps (for about 5 seconds). Let go of the power button. Unplug the machine again, then plug it in and try to use it as an air conditioner.

2) Unplug the machine. Hold down the Mode button while plugging it back in. Keep the mode button pressed until it beeps (for about 3 seconds). Let go of the mode button. The machine will start. Turn it off by pressing the power button. Resume trying to use it as an air conditioner.

If neither of these work, the "clean the filter" timer is broken and needs replacing.

I had a half power outage where everything turned half off, how I still dont know. Anyways I unpluged it and didn't plug it back in until the next day. When I did the timer light was blinking for an hour. I unpluged it for a couple hours more, then I plugged it in and waited for 1 min, unplugged it and repeated, then I plugged it and unplugged it 3 or 4 times in a row, plugged it back in and waited. 1 min. then poof the tv worked. YAAAAAA HOOOOOO!!!!

Tv went blank

Does the timer/stand-by light blink at all? If so, count how many times it does. It will usually be in intervals. If it isn't blinking, and you have nothing on the screen, you might have a problem with the "G" Board, part # A1316499A.
