SOURCE: whirlpool wshser-dryer: water won't drain, cycles won't start

You need to give more info in order for a diagnosis. Is this a compact stack unit or an all -in -one unit or an interconnected washer/dryer pair ? Is it front load or top load washer ? What do you mean by "dry cycle"? Is that dryer cycle or is it washer cycle without water ?
Usually when water cannot be drained it is a bad coupling connector on the motor drive, or a bad or clogged pump (small socks have been known to get sucked in an lodged in the pumps); in either case you need a good mechanic or a service person to handle the repair because it requires opening up the shell of the unit and getting to the motor/pump assembly. As always, disconnect the power cord before diving into the unit. Good Luck, Macgivor.

SOURCE: Won't Rinsing

Check for a cold water supply problem, since cold water is what is used in the rinse cycle. Check the water inlet valve (pay special attention to the cold water side). Unplug the machine, turn off the water, and remove the water supply hoses. Check the small metal screens inside the openings on the valve. Make sure they are clear of rust or debris. Check the solenoids using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity means a bad solenoid and the water inlet valve assy will need replaced. Very sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Top Loader LSB6000PQ0 fills up with water but that's it

you probably closed the lid to hard and broke the switch that tells the machine that it is closed. So the machine thinks the lid is open and for saftey reasons will not operate. I had the same problem. You can buy a new switch for about $10 or you can simply cuts the wires for the switch and wire them together. If you do this be warned that the machine will never know if the lid is open or closed. The machine will assume that the lid is always closed. But it will work also.

Whirlpool Dishwasher will fill water then stops

If it fills with water properly then stops, and especially if there is a humming noise, it is possible that

- motor start capacitor has failed
- drive belt has slipped or snapped
- belt tensioner spring has broken

Whirlpool dishwasher misbehaving

What it sounds like to me is the water fill solonoid plugged or not opening all the way. Check to see if the washer fills with water when starting, that should be the first thing it should do. If it does, then the whining noise could be your water pump inside the washer trying to run, which means it could be a bad motor or the impeller may have come off of the motor shaft. I would pull the screen off the inside of the machine and inspect for damage from a bad impeller. You will have to pull the washer arms off first, they just pull up and off, and the screen you can do the same to. If it is motor or impeller problems I would suggest calling an appliance repair man or just check to see what it might close to get repaired.

I bought a new Speed Queen AWN432. Installed it, filled it with water. When the water stopped filling the motor does not run.I've pushed the lid switch on the back side to make sure it was close

If there is too much weight to 1 side, sensors in it will stop it from spinning. If you evenly distribute the weight of your clothes this may fix it.

Whirlpool DU1055XTSQ2 Quiet Partner 1 Has grinding noise at start up. Can you send a diaghram so I can take off the bottom sprayer and what do you gthink it could be?

Is start up after filling with water? After it fills the wash motor starts to work. Some times the spray arm could hit the heating coil when it turns. Make sure the spray arm is not loose. But most likely its the wash motor.
