Have you checked in the control panel under sound, look down at the icons listed usually there are 3. see if you see one that shows a headset with a mic attached , that is the one you want. If that is not visable then i would select each making it your default dont forget, it wont happen unless you reboot each time. Now some stupid comments, are you sure you mic is not set on mute check your task bar most voice and music programs put a icon in the task bar for there control panel. If its there, open it and make sure all setting are correct this will superced all windows settings, make sure the volume is on an unbeaable high setting just in case. Follow cord of the headset if it has a control in line, make sure the little dip switch is not set on mute (been there done that, yes red in face) you never said if it is wireless, if so check batteries, take them out and put back in. And move any digital phone from your desk along with cell phones there interfere. (just till you eliminate causes) If its usb wired make sure the two plugs going into the usb adaptor are not switched on adaptor most have a little microphone and headset symbol (know its stupid but check anyway) if all else fails, take the name of the headset go to there web page and see if they have a driver to download it may as well be that, i know some time logitech has that issue.

If i can help further repost

My T5950 won't stop beeping when I push the PTT button. I tried holding the PTT in when I turn the unit on and that didn't stop it.

Very likely it is the battery. Beeping means not enough power especially when transmitting. Try charging the battery again, try transmitting again and plan on new batteries. They "wear out" even when not in use.

Can't transmit signal. Only get a 2 second beep when I push the transmit button

You have a poorly charged or bad battery. It takes more power to transmit than to receive. Usually the first thing you lose with a low, bad or poorly charged battery is transmit.

Try a known good battery in the radio. This should solve the problem. If not, check your battery contacts, as you may have one which is bad or not making good contact.

Clean your contacts with a pencil eraser to assure good connection with the charger.

Best regards.

Ge plsh05 radio manual

Hi Howard,

Is there any noise or voice coming from the speaker before you try to transmit?

If so, you are trying to talk at the same time the channel is already in use, be it voice or someone holding down their PTT button without talking just to be a nuisance.

If this is correct, then nothing wrong with your radio, and nothing can be done about the button pusher blocking the channel.

Sorry if I have been of no help here, some things are beyond my scope.

Cheers,
Peter

There is not picture its just vioce

Battery OK, IR light up, no green image on the intensifier image tube, correct! What type of voices are you hearing? Give ATN Aries 390 two Zolof and wait two day, just kidding!!! The noise is a crackling, high freqencey hum, popping, etc. Also remove the eye lens, it screw off, then remove the scope to someplace where it semi dark. Turn it on and observe the 18mm white plate and see if it turn green---no green---no look see---no image intensifier tube, it dead that is the mage tube. stewbison.

Does it have voice commands? On most phones there is a button on the side that you push to enable them. Then the phone usually says "PLEASE SAY A COMMAND..."

I am running two 15 spl soundstream woofers with a soundstream 500sx amp how do I bridge them to get maximum performance

the 15 spl woofers are dual voice coil, i believe 2 ohms per voice coil.

the 500sx amp is rated 4 ohms bridged at 500 watts, it is capible of dropping to 2 ohms sterao, but no lower than 4 ohms bridged. to get maximum performance, you cannot use both voice coils of both speakers, you can only use one speaker, or both speakers, while only using one voice coil from each.

there is no point of bridging them, you can achieve maximum performance by attaching one voice coil from each speaker to each channel of the amp, while leaving one voice coil from each speaker unconnected. you could also use just one speaker, attaching one vioce coil to one channel, and the other vioce coil to the other channel. then, i would suggest getting a second, identical amp to run the second speaker.

if you are persistent on bridging to mono, then you can only use 2 voice coils (both from one speaker, or one from each speaker) and you must run the voice coils in series, that is, from the amp positive to the 1st vioce coil positive, then run a jumper wire form the 1st vioce coil negative to the 2nd vioce coil positive, then, finally, run the 2nd vioce coil negative back to the negative of the amp.

this is all assumming that each voice coil is 2 ohms and each vioce coil has seperate inputs, meaning that each speaker has 2 pairs of speaker terminals.

We can hear the customers but they can not hear us! Help

Here's the troubleshooting from the manual:
  • Make sure voice tube positioned properly
  • Voice tube is not clogged (remove tube and see if works)
  • Verify transmit volume control of amplifier is set properly
Couple other suggestions to try:
  • Reseat all connections to make sure firm connection
  • Look for any other volume controls

Hold down the Display/Menu function button (one of those three buttons on the left of the unit) for about 3-4 seconds until the display reads "t set". When this appears, push the track forward button once (>>|) so the display reads "beep"; now press the play pause button (>||) once. The display will now say "on", push the track forward button (>>|) once to make it read "off"; now push the stop play button. You're done. Enjoy the silence.
