Question about Computers & Internet
I also have a HTC HD2 , and I do most of my downloading and uploading in the "USB" mode . When you first hook the USB cable to the PC and the phone, you should see a screen on your phone, which asks if you want to "sync" to your computer, or do you want to use the "USB" mode. It will only be there about three seconds before it tries to default to one or the other modes.
Quickly, tap on the "USB" mode and it will open up as an icon (not a drive) that can be accessed through Windows Explorer, so that you do whatever copying and transfers you wish. You may copy to the computer, or copy from the computer to the phone, or phone's extra memory if you have a Micro SD Card installed. You can delete files to your hearts content also...just be careful what you delete off the phones internal memory.
I use a program by Avanquest that came with several versions of Fix-It Utilities, called Powerdesk, for navigating around my hard drives. It's like using a "souped up" double version of Explorer, only easier and faster. I compare it to driving at night with your lights on vs driving without lights while using Explorer.
I hope this helps you. Thanks, Bill
