To save you time and money, it is recommended that you have a proffesional clean your computer, because using water may damage your computer and the company warranty will NOT cover damages done by DIY.
If you go ahead, and decide to clean it yourself, YouTube has many videos that can help you.

I spelled Juice on my HP Pavillion g6,, i dried it , but keyboard are sticky and screen has a white spot, whiter than the rest of the screen

The screen is probably permanently damaged... Some of the juice got into the screen which is bad news. You have to be very careful with liquids around laptop screens, even when your just cleaning it. You should never spray or spill anything on a laptop screen. So if it bothers you too much you'll probably want to bring it to an expert to be replaced.

As for the keyboard you can clean it easily with a damp/wet cloth while it's turned off and the battery removed...

How to remove the keyboard?

Remove all of the screws on the bottom, as well as the RAM, hard drive, and CD/DVD drive. Then, while the laptop is open, lift up the upper plastic covering on the bottom (you might need a key to get in there) from here, you should be able to see the keyboard mounting screws, make sure you remove the keyboard cable from the motherboard as you remove the keyboard.

I spilt a glass of juice over my husbands keyboard and now it wont work properley! can i have this repaired for him or shall i just buy a new one?

Hi, Jenny.

If you are talking about an external keyboard, it's not worth repairing and easy to replace. A keyboard on a laptop is more difficult to replace, but also not worth repairing.

Since juice is acidic, the circuitry on the keyboard is probably destroyed.

Hope this helps.

My laptop

I'll start by telling you that most of the time keyboards don't recover from a spill. With that said, clean it by using a 50/50 rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle. Remove the keyboard from the machine, and spray the alcohol into the keyboard generously. Shake out the excess or blow it out with air, then use paper towels to daub up the rest. Repeat this process two or three times, then let the keyboard dry for a good 24 hours. While you have the keyboard off check for any juice or sticky areas in the machine, and clean them with the alcohol and Q-tips. Let this dry well also. After drying put the keyboard back on and try it. If you notice any sticky keys after using it for a while, then take the sticky keys off and clean them individually with the alcohol and Q-tips.

Spilled Grape Juice

To give it a good cleaning, you will need to remove the keyboard and clean anywhere you can see juice or feel stickiness. You can buy the expensive computer cleaners, but I suggest 50/50 rubbing alcohol and Q-tips. Remove the battery and C-mos battery to make sure there is absolutely no power to the machine what so ever. After cleaning inside, you will want to give it a good 24 hours to dry, ensure that there is no moisture before applying power. If the juice reached the bottom of the machine, you may need to remove the screen, split the cases, and take the motherboard out, in order to clean the bottom side of the board. If you leave juice anywhere on the board it will gum up, and the acids in the juice will corrode and detierate the circuitry on the board causing a motherboard failure. Now the keyboard, in order to thoroughly clean the keyboard, I suggest that you spray a good amount of the rubbing alcohol in the keyboard, shake it or blow it out with air, then take paper towels and daub up the rest. Repeat this two or three times, then let it dry approx 24 hours. Sometimes the keyboard won't recover after a spill and will need replaced. If it works properly, then, after using the keyboard for a while, you will notice if any of the keys are sticking. Take the sticky key or keys off and clean them individually. I know it's alot of work, but it'll teach you not to keep open drinks around your laptop. It did me, I've ruined one machine, two keyboards, and thoroughly cleaned a third very expensive machine of mine to keep it working, but I finally learned to drink from a sippy around my laptops.

Keyboard repair

You should call Acer tech support and enquire about a keyboard. I am sure that they will tell you to take the computer to their rep for your area. Normaly they change the keyboard when there is a fault. If the circuit board under the keys is defective or if one of the IC's on the board failed, this would not be servicable at all. The keyboards on these computers were not really designed to be able to be serviced.
