Question about Computers & Internet
Well let me just start off with the basics here then from there we can go about helping you fix your problem. When it changes the microphone input, what input does it automatically select on the recording panel? Cause it has a default input it selects when you goto train. So say for instance if you have your microphone plugged into line input and in the recording control panel in windows it switches to microphone. Then you would need to plug it in that jack. Or vice versa. This happens to me all the time when i use torque game engine and use the voice to code console. Also are you trying to get it to playback live where you can hear through the speakers what is said through the mic. Or are you just trying to train the speech engine period. Cause i really need to know what input is being changed when you hit record and what its being changed to.
If you can help me by answering this questions we can go from there and i will be glad to assist you further. Thanks, Midwest-tek

Have you gone to contorl panel, sound settings, and done the voice recognition?
This will allow you to raise and lower the pickup of your voice and set the mic up for all applications.

Hello, I am going to help you the best that I can but at this time I do not know exactly which Machine you are on, or the Motherboard ID # if nothing else..
The best advice I can offer You is to go to the MANUFACTURER'S SUPPORT WEBSITE and download any/all UPDATES for the System/Board, which will include the Sound Device Drivers as well.. ok?

Check to see what is your default recording device. Make sure that the MIDI device is selected. This can be done through control panel->Sounds->Properties. If you cannot find it there then please tell me what your OS is so that I can give you instructions specific to your OS.
