Question about Pride Jazzy 1113 ATS Indoor Power Wheelchair

1 Answer

My father has i believe a jazzy 6 wheelchair and the lights keep flashing. There is no sequence of flashing, just flashes away without a break. The horn works, that's all. Wheelchair will not move at all. My father said he fell on joystick and it stopped working. The connecter from the joystick to other wire has four pins the two outside holes are round the the other two center holes are round ontop and flat at the bottom. Please Help. Thank you...

Bobby check that the chair is not in freewheel first (you can push it and it will roll freely). If it is not in freewheel, try this--- turn the power off on the joystick then turn it back on and immediately push the jostick full forward until you hear a beep then immediately pull the joystick to the rear until you hear a beep then let it go to the center position. If the chair is in lockout it should take it out and the chair will operate fine. Now if that doesn't work I dunno. No seriously a continuous flash as you describe is the only indication of a lockout that I know of for the Pride chairs. If Medicare bought dad's chair then you can get a service company to fix it for him and they will bill Medicare for the cost of repair. Medicare will pay 80% of the costs and if Dad has a supplemental policy it will cover the 20%. Contact Repair Xpress @ 1-877-581-3733 or Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 Hope this helps

Jazzy wheelchair scooter 1450. Why does it go crazy with flashing (charging lights)?

Hi Emilee,
The lights flashing crazy, may mean you have locked out joystick. to unlock, try first, turn on joystick and push horn button twice right away. if that did not work, try turn on and push lever forward all the way wait until it beeps, then back all the way until it beeps again. that should do it. If not then count how many lights are blinking and how many times it blinks. consult owners manual trouble shooting guide for answer, or call 800-800-8586 Jazzy tech

Why does my jazzy select six lights blink but wont go

The number of flashes indicate the problem. Go to Pride's website to download the service manual. It will tell you what the flashes mean and how to fix it.

Unlock

Not enough info to really give a good suggestion. Flashing lights and no movement usually indicates that the batteries are very low. Testing the batteries is the place to start and go from there.

I have a Jazzy 1120 When I turn it on all the battery lights flash rapidly any suggestions

How many are flashing? There are 10 lights, if all are flashing (3 red, 4 yellow, 3 green) that indicates Code 10 and high battery voltage.

Appear to be a problem with you control system. Check joystick module and power module connections. Look for frayed and damaged wiring.

My jazzy select 14 keeps lighting up like its charging after its unpluged and the chair wont do anything

Can you tell if the lights are flashing a number of times then pausing slightly then flashing the same number again and so on? If not then check to make sure your not in "freewheel". The levers are behind each wheel If you are getting a flash code determine the number of flashes the codes should be in your user manual or goto Pridemobility.com and you can download a owners manual for that chair. Hope this helps

Lights blink in sequence of 7 when turned on

The 7 flashing lights indicates the VSI controller joystick has an internal fault requiering replacement. Call your local mobility store that does repairs or willing to sale the controller joystick to you. Inquier if you health insurance will help. These VSI controllers can cost upto $1300 - $1600 new. If you live in Utah you can try the Intermountain Homecare Custom wheelchair shop. Hope this helps.

Jazzy 115 will not move. Controller has 3 red and one amber bar flashing

Pride doesn't make a Jazzy 115. Please check your chair and owners manual to get the correct model so we can help. How old is the chair? The flash codes you are getting depend on the model, year it was born, and the tkype of controller installed.

Also, the flash code should be literally, flashes. 2 lights flash twice, stop, then go again, etc. They all mean something, so repost with more info please.
