What is the belt diagram from the deck to the motor for a mower?

1st, Unplug the Dryer from the Power Supply.
You will need the Exact recommended Replacement "Idler Pulley".
With the Belt Ribs Facing Toward the Dryer Drum, position the belt on the tell tale Ring Mark on the Drum letting the Belt Hang Down below the Drum.
Place The New Idler Pulley into the Slots on the Inside Dryer Bottom located near the Motor Mounted Pulley.
(Face The Idler Pulley Toward The Motor Mounted Pulley)
(Hold the Idler Pulley in place in the slots)
Take the "Hanging Belt" & run the Whole Loop "UNDER" the Idler Pulley & then
Attach the "Belt Loop" "AROUND" The Motor Mounted Pulley.
That should do it.
Put the rest of the Dryer Back Together...Done!
Good Luck,
Vinnie

Dryer drum or rollers or bearings are squeaking on my Kenmore 970-C69042-00 clothes dryer. How do I best trouble-shoot and repair it?

Instructions
    • 1 Turn off the gas to a gas dryer or unplug an electric one. Move the dryer from its position at least 3 feet from the wall. This will give you room to work. Pulling the dryer out into an even more open space may make this easier.
    • 2 Push the putty knife in between the top and main body of the dryer on the front of the dryer. Slide the putty knife near the corner closest to you. Push the knife and pull up to release the pins that hold the top onto the body.

    • 3 Lift the top off the body using a screwdriver as a lever.
    • 4 Label the wires that are connected to the front of the dryer. Make note of which wire goes where. Unclip the wires from the clip that holds them, remove the wires and place them to the side. You will be reattaching these wires later. Be sure to mark them so that you can place them back in order later.
    • 5 Remove the screws that hold the fount of the dryer onto the rest of it. There should be four on most models.
    • 6 Pull the front towards you until the drum inside comes loose from its bearing. Slide the front panel up to reveal the pulleys at the bottom of the machine.
    • 7 Grab the idler pulley. It is the one in front of the motor. Move it to the right to disengage the belt. Remove the belt. Do not remove the belt that goes to the drum.
    • 8 Put on your gloves and slide the drum out of the dryer. Be sure to use hand protection as the edges may be sharp.
    • 9 Inspect the two rollers. If they appear damaged, or you find metal dust under them, your rollers need replacing.
    • 10 Remove the plastic clip on the right hand side if the right roller needs replacing. Remove the metal friction plate, metal brace and plastic clip on the left hand side if the left roller needs replacing.
    • 11 Put on the new rollers and reattach the parts you removed.
    • 12 Slide the drum back in and grab the idler pulley. Pull the pulley to the left until the belt is tight.
    • 13 Slide and screw the front into place and reattach the top.

Lift the idler pulley assembly up toward the dryer drum to detach the metal tab on the assembly from the dryer base, and slide the assembly out of the open slot in the bottom of the dryer cabinet by pulling it toward you. Take the idler pulley assembly out of the dryer cabinet and dispose of the part.Slide the bottom bar of the new idler pulley assembly into the open slot in the bottom of the dryer cabinet and push down to set the tab into the hole in the dryer base to lock the assembly into place. Move the idler arm forward and place the dryer belt around the idler pulley by hand.here is the idler you need which is a pretty standard part

you make a loop in the belt to get it in the pulley, thats why you don't have to remove the wheel, and it comes as one complete part

I bought it in 2003 neptune dryer and the 3 bar inside the dryer broke and the dryer is not working right . we have to dry them 3 time before they are all dry

Instructions
Things You'll Need:

* Phillips-head screwdriver
* Replacement belt

1. Disconnect the power cord of the Maytag Neptune dryer from the dryer electrical outlet.
2. Open the dryer door, and locate the four screws on the inside lip of the door opening. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the four screws. This will disconnect the front panel from the shroud assembly.
3. Grab the front panel on each side with your hands. Lift up on the front panel to unhook it from the retaining tabs on the side panels. Remove the front panel, and set it out of your way.
4. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the four outside perimeter screws that secure the shroud and tumbler front to the dryer cabinet. Pull the shroud and tumbler front away from the tumbler while lifting the top panel partially up.
5. Reach both of your hands underneath each side of the tumbler. Use your left hand to grasp the idler pulley, and pull it to the left while using your right hand to slip the belt off the motor pulley. Pulling the idler pulley to the left releases tension on the belt. You can now slip the belt off the back of the tumbler.
6. Take the old belt with you along with the model number of your dryer to purchase a new belt. Most appliance repair shops will have replacement belts in stock. Make sure that the new belt matches the old one by comparing the two.
7. Slide the new belt over the rear of the tumbler with the ribbed side pointed to the inside. Using both hands under the tumbler, route the belt around the motor pulley and idler pulley. Pull the idler pulley to the left while routing the belt, and carefully allow the idler pulley back to the right to apply tension.
8. Reattach the tumbler front and shroud to the front of the cabinet using the retaining screws. Place the front panel over the side retaining tabs, and push it down to lock it in place.
9. Open the dryer door, and secure the front panel to the shroud using the retaining screws. Close the dryer door, and plug the power cord back into the dryer electrical outlet.

10. Take the dryer belt off the pulleys and drum, and install the new dryer belt around the drum and the idler and motor pulleys.
11. Tighten the bolt on the idler pulley with a socket wrench to secure the new dryer belt, and reattach the shroud cover with screws.
12. Slide the front panel back over the clips on the base of the dryer, and lock the panel into place by attaching the screws to the inside top of the panel.
13. Lower the dryer top back down to the top of the cabinet, and press down to lock the lid into place on the plastic clips.

Dryer will not dry - drum will not turn

Just happened to mine also. The problem was that the Idler Pulley came loose from the drive belt. There is a switch on the idler pulley so that if there is no tension on it, the motor will not start and you will have the symptoms you describe. To reattach the Idler Pulley, remove the back plate surrounding the dryer exhaust. This will give you access to the Pulley. If the belt broke (unlikely with a new dryer such as yours), the fix is more involved. This dryer is the same as the Maytag MDE6700 - you can do a search for a service manual for that model and you can see the details. Hope this helps.

Dryer belt has come off tensioner.

The idler pulley fits in the slots on the bottom of the cabinet (in front of the motor) with the wheel or glide facing the left side. Place the belt (grooves inward) around the drum. Pull the belt through the middle of the idler pulley from the left side. Once the belt is pulled through the idler pulley, loop it around the motor pulley (this should force the idler pulley to "open up" and add tension).
With the belt and idler pulley in place, it should look like this...

HOW DO YOU REPLACE THE IDLER PULLEY GAS DRYER

On these it is fairly simple. The wheel itself rides on the Idler assembly. It is not bolted down and will fall off id the belt breaks. This is normal. You simply slide it back onto the shaft and reattach the belt. All can be easily done from the rear hatch. 853d455.jpg
The routing is shown here:

Yours will be most likely the Westinghouse configuration.

Much eaiser to remove acess panel behind unit to reattach belt to idler and motor shaft, spring problably popped off idler, or motr shaft reattach and pull idler all the way to right and loop belt around motor shaft and relese(pulley should add tensionto belt)
