There are different possibilities and here are some initial solutions that you may try to make your simcard work again.

1. Turn off your phone remove your simcard and battery from the phone. At 3 minutes interval return only the battery then turn it on. With an interval of 3 minutes again. Turn off and return your simcard then turn on again the phone.

2. This is the 2nd way, Remove your simcard from your phone. Use different phone. Insert simcard to the second phone. Turn in this phone and leave the simcard for about 5 minutes. After that return the simcard to your first phone, this will flash it.

3. Check if there is corrosion that build up from the surface contact of the simcard and or from the terminal pins of the phone. Remove this carefully by a precision flat screw.

4. Make sure that phone is properly charge and or the phone is not hanging because of low bat.

5. Try to use a different sim card from your phone. If it works and the first simcard don't, them its defective. Have it replace by your provider. Your provider offers replacement of simcard while retaining its own phone number. Its a quick transaction so do not worry about going to their service center.

Its a do-it-yourself solution so let me know which one works.

Please make sure also that your phone is open line. Meaning, your phone is capable for other phone service provider network. If its lock for a certain phone service provider, then there is no way that you can use simcard from other networks to run through this phone. Unless, otherwise you have your phone unlock.

1. If you have changed your phone password, change your password back to thedefault 8 zeros (00000000).
1a. NOTE (Modification here by my experience): Goto SETTINGS, SECURITY, thenSIM LOCK and disable this before proceeding.
2. Put a SIM card that is from a network other than the one your phone islocked to
3. When Incorrect SIM error comes up, type *#9998*3323#.
4. White screen will appear with an exit option. Press the right softkey.
5. From the menu that appears, select the Malloc Fail option. This will rebootthe phone and the normal service screens will appear.
6. Type *0141# and then press the green call key. "Personalization"or "Personalized" will appear.
7. Turn off your phone and put the original SIM back in.
8. Turn on your phone. You will receive a prompt to enter a password.
9. Type 8 zeros (00000000) (This is because the SIM LOCK mentioned earlier getsswitched back on)
10. Completed. You have now unlocked your phone.

I cant make phone calls it says no sim card. I have a Iphone 3gs

You iPhone simcard may just have been jostled loose. The sim card sits in a tray, accessible using a paper clip. Try removing it and replacing it, that may help.

If this only happens on this phone, the sim card slot is defective.
Try your sim card in another phone.

It may also be that your SIM card got canceled by the service provider.

Insert simcard nokia 7200

hi the only one thing you can try without replacing the sim card reader is do you know when you put the simcard in if you push on the simcard with your finger so your pushing it down onto the contacts is fold up some paper so that it put pressure onto the simcard when you put the battery on as alot of times the contacts dont touch the sim card properly so putting some folded paper on top of sim card pushes it down onto the contacts properly.
This solves the problem in most cases but it can be difficult to get right as if the paper isnt thick enough then it might not push it down hard enough to make contact.
If after doing this it still dont work then this either means the sim cards no good but you could try it in another phone or it could be that the sim card reader is not connecting with the board properly and would need replacing.
Make sure you check the contacts are clean on the sim card and the sim card reader to make sure this isnt problem.
If you have not tried the sim card in a different phone then it could be the sim card is no good.
Did this sim work in the phone before just in case the phone dont accept that network as you can get this message if this is the case.

Let me know how you get on and if you need further assistance ok
