I woke up last night with water running from under my refrigerator flooding my kitchen & basement. What could be causing the problem? Also how do I remove the evaporator pan? So much stuff is blocking its removal.

Check and make sure that the water fill valve does not have a crak in it usually not enough water in the defrost pan to cause any kind of flooding issue. it is either a bad water valve or a broken water line somewhere on the unit

My defy front loader filled up with water at 2am last night while not in use...flooding my kitchen. the machine tap is always left open, but is active only when the machine has been switched on???

the water inlet valve is faulty and is not closing fully when powered off causing a small but constant stream of water coming into the machine until it floods out the front, you will need to replace the water inlet valve, in the meantime turn the taps off when your not using it

I woke up this morning to a flooded kitchen due to the ice maker, in my Amana refrigerator, not making ice and just pouring out water. What is the problem?

Either the switch in the ice maker is stuck keeping the valve open or the valve has stuck. Unplugging the frig will tell you which it is. If the water stops when the frig is unplugged it is the switch. If it does not then it is the valve.

Ice maker water inlet keeps running

Replace the water inlet valve. It's on the back where the water supply hooks. You can turn the water off usually under the sink.

Refrigerator was in the basement with 6" of water....

The electric parts that got wet will need to be dried out. Try putting a flood light etc. shining on the bottom for a few days to see if it will dry it out, then turn it back on and listen for a click from the compressor relay as the compressor tries to start. Is the compressor motor running. If no check starter/overload relay.
Check to see if the condenser fan at the back underneath near the compressor is running. If no check fan.

Are the condenser coils near there warm or room temp. should be warm

My icemaker shoots water every where. What can i do?

If the water was still running then the water inlet valve where you disconnected the water is stuck. It can get sediment in it causing it to stick open. Clean it or replace it.

The water feed to the ice maker will not shut off.

Either the water valve has stuck open or the IM water switch is stuck. Unplug the wires from the water valve and see if the water has stopped. If yes it is the switch, if still running in the it is the valve.

Heavy water leak in basement under fridge

Has this fridge got an ice maker???
Because ice makers require a water supply to make ice.
This could be where your water is coming from.
