Question about Canon DR-7580

1 Answer

On our Canon 6080, we get an error C01. We have opened and closed the main compartment several times, but the error does not resolve. My IT guy is out with the flu. Any help would be appreciated.

When top cover is open, you get a display C01. Press the top cover and check if the display goes off. The top cover is held in position by a spring loaded mechanism (The grey colored plastic part No MA2-6863-000) The spring is held in position by a small plastic tab and this was broken in two of my scanners. I used a self tapping screw in place of the plastic tab to keep the spring in position.

There are sensors to verify if the scanner cover is closed. Pls blow air and if QUMA software is available you can check them electronically also.

Press the top cover with little extra pressure to check if C01 goes away, then you can adjust the catch on both sides, you need to open the side covers for this.

This problem is reappearing, hence expanding my solution!

The top cover needs to be closed properly, else the error reported will be C01. The small grey plastic tab in the centre lifts the top cover, actually, it releases a spring loaded mechanism (just under the top cover). The top cover is otherwise 'locked'. The spring is held in position by a small plastic tab (just about 2mm) in the stub in the grey tab and breaks quite often! Then the spring effect is lost, the locking mechanism retract and you cannot close the top cover and you will continue to get the error 'C01'. You may notice that the tab is easy to press.

You need to either replace the grey tab or need to put a self tapping screw at the place where the spring was held in position and load the spring again.

Canon DR 6080 Error Code C01

The top cover is held in position by a small piece of plastic on both sides. Open the Left hand side cover and you will notice the catch with two screws. Unscrew them slightly push it down and tighten again. This should solve the problem.

I have a canon 6080 scanner. getting a error "no

Clean the two 'black dots' in the paper tray, just under the roller. They are actually paper sensors. Try 'page counting'. If this works, the scanner is okay. If the problem still persists, try reloading the scanning software.

Instead of taking out the battery, just open and close the battery compartment to reset the camera.

SVRGuy02 is right, set the slep time longer to avoid the issue so much and just open and close the battery compartment before beginning each shooting exercise
