is the icemaker cycling at all? pull the front cover offf of the icemaker and verify that the gear isnt broken. if so replace the motor module. if thats ok the next 2 things could be either a frozen fill tube or bad fill valve..

2 things that could be wrong with these ice makers (Red light is solid, but no water to ice maker and My ice maker does not make ice and water is appearing on the floor). Either you have a defective water valve or your incoming tube is iced up. 2 ways to check:
1. Check your ice maker valve which is at the bottom of the refer. To find follow the water line into the back of the refer. it should connect to the water valve. Check and make sure there is 125V to the valve when it is in fill mode. Or look for and open condition at the solenoid (you check for open with a meter). When checking across the leads you shouldn't get any meter movement at all.
2. Remove the ice maker or the port that comes into the ice maker on the back of the refer (it is usually held in with 2 screws). Make sure it is not frozen up. If it is sometimes if you take regular insulation and pack it into the area where the port comes in that can stop the freezing problem.

SOURCE: NO WATER TOTHE ICE MAKER
have you ried to reset the ice maker? Also how cold is it in the freezer? if its not cold enough the ice maker will not work at all. Also check to see if the fill tube oin the maker is frozen up and not letting the water get into the maker the way it should. Please wait unitl yoiur problem is resolved before rating them rate generous for the one that had the correct answer. thanks for using FixYa

unfortunately, the heater is molded into the unit.
without testing every part of the icemaker there is now way to be certain which of the following has failed...
USING THIS DIAGRAM -
#11 is the heater assembly
#17 is the thermostat that controls the heater.
An entire unit replacement is not necessary.
Hope this helps.
