Did you fix your Snap Server? I am looking for one for parts (need a 160 GB hard drive out of it for a data recovery job). I will buy it (or one of the 160 GB drives) if you are interested to sell?

How we can switch on CA01022-0550 power supply ?

Unlike a PC Power Supply, this type of server power supply does not have an on/off switch. It will turn on when plugged into a compatible server and plugged into a power source. The server itself will power on either with the power button on the front, or when the power supply is plugged in depending on your BIOS settings. Usually there is an LED on the back of the power supply which will come on when the cord is plugged in regardless. If it does not, the unit is defective.

My Power Edge is not starting. On the power supply there are no LEDs whatsoever lit. The cord is OK TO the supply since I have tried it. The server is stone dead and does not start. What is wrong?

In most cases like this, if there are no lights on the back of the power supplies, (i assume there are 2, as I have a 2950 and it has 2) that they are dead, and need to be replaced. If you haven't tried it already try this: 1. Swap out power cords, try different ones. 2. Swap out surge protector if you are using one. 3. Switch wall outlets that the surge protector or power cord is plugged into. If none of that helps then you can safely assume the power supplies are dead. Did you have any power outage or surges lately that you know of?

MY SONY SNAP LAB will not power up. I changed the

Sounds like your SnapLab's power supply is dead. You will have to send to repair, or order the part and replace yourself (if you think you are qualified to do that yourself...)

No power - not responding to on button

If there are on LED lights on in the front panel then either the power cord is faulty or the switch mode power supply is faulty.
Try a different power cord to determine if it is faulty.
Can you smell a burnt electrical smell from the fan grill at the switch mode power supply?
The only way to test if the switch mode power supply is to remove it from the desktop computer and take it to your friendly computer shop to get it tested.
If you do have electronic knowledge I would advise you not to attempt to test and try to repair this power supply.
If the switch mode power supply is faulty, then replace the switch mode power supply with another unit with the same or more wattage.

Dell poweredge start up issue

Hi. If your server is not responding at all when you want to power it up, you need to replace the power supply. If it starts up then shutdown it could be a motherboard problem but the most probable thing is that your power supply needs to be replaced. If you have an other one with about the same power, try it and see what happens. Good luck!

I've got the same Snap Server 1000 and lost the supply some time ago - I found a LiteOn monitor supply model PA-1400-02 does the trick and fits exactly.

Spec is 3.33A 12Volts DC out, positive inner, negative outer.

Hope that helps.
