You can erase everything off the computer (files, OS, etc) by downloading a program that wipes your hard drive clean. I recommend using Dukes Boot and Nuke software. It is a no-cost virus-free software that works.
Warning! It will delete your operating system (Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.) Without it, you cannot use the computer.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN OPERATING SYSTEM DISC AT HAND WHEN DOING THIS! (WINDOWS OR MAC)

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I think a virus running real slow

Hello,

If it's in the internet browser only and not the whole computer, then try using a different website browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Safari.

If the whole computer is slowing down, then run a full anti-virus scan. If no viruses are found, then do a disc clean up. GO to start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disc Clean up

Delete all unneccessary files. Just put a check mark on all. After that, restart your computer. Install or update the device drivers - You can use RadarSync to update them all so that you won't miss any outdated driver in the computer.

I hope this helps!

If you have any questions, please drop me a line.

Slow pc. may have virus?

Do you have an anti virus installed in your computer? If you have one, then run an anti-virus scan in your computer.

The problem seems virus related.

If your anti virus can't fix the problem, then you need to clean reinstall the whole operating system to get rid of the virus.

I hope this helps!

Mac G4 Running Slow

Many many reasons may be causing your Mac computer running slow, but generally two factors: hardware part & system part. For hardware part: I guess it's OK if your Mac is not that old. For system part: there might be a lot of junk files, caches, registry errors... out there which largely slow down any Mac machines. about 80% slow Mac caused by this reason, if so, try cleaning the system. Down loaded new nortonantivirus from tiscali seams to be slowing down lap top any sugestions

Unfortunately many antiviruses tend to slow down things: they have to check each file on execution.

Check that your antivirus isn't scanning your whole system just now. Many antiviruses will do that upon first installation, to be sure they're running on a clean system. If that's the case, wait for it to complete.

If this happens often, there's a "speed" setting - fast scan will make the computer slow, but slow scan or "idle scan" will load the system much less. Try those.

Otherwise, maybe another antivirus might work better. I've always found ESET's NOD32 very light-treading even on not-exactly-bleeding-edge computers. Another one is AVG, of which there's even a Personal Free edition.

Computer running slow

Well...when using trend micro you shouldn't need windows defender. You should also try cleaning your registry. I own a new computer with vista as well. If your registry is just a little bugged up your whole computer could be dragging. Try the programs below and see which one you like best...

You should continue cleaning your registry about 3 times a week.

Since you're running WinXP, I'm going to assume that your PC is most likely equipped with a P4 processor.
My suggestion would be to get a whole new PC. A new pc costs about $400 for just a basic set up.
