fully dismatle the cot, keep all the bits..
Take the two slatted sides to bits and put the base pieces of wood from these to one side.
pull the headboard and footboard (is that whats its called) apart take the feet from the footboard and add to the headboard (they are now the sole head and foot boards) screw the 4 nuts with blanking plates to the top 4 holes on the new head and footboards
take the two long slatted size bases and screw them to the lower holes on the head and footboard put the base brackets (L shapped screws) into the corners put the cot base onto the L shaped screws done

I had a similar problem with mine, check if the central shaft on which the blades turn hasn't become lose and is no longer engaging the gears on the underside of the helicopter.
If the whole shaft can move up and down then this probably means it has come loose, you can solve this by squeezing the lower set of blades towards the bottom gear with your fingers. You should feel the bottom blades move slightly down, if you push them too far they will stick against the main body so you might need to pull them up slightly.

Testimonial: "thanks very much, you are absolutely right about the problem. i had difficulty moving the blades so put some clingfilm (!) in the gap on the shaft."
I'm selling a salisbury cot bed and would like to download a copy of the instruction manual which I no longer have - also need a couple of fixings to be replaced, where I can get some. Thanks.
