This is a problem with the hard drive. It could be the connection is loose, a faulty hard drive, or overheating issues with the HD. Try to remove the hard-drive and attach it back again. Or if you have a spare hard drive, attach it and test.

Gives me an error E 68 what is that? New xbox is only 10 months old.

The e68 error on your Xbox 360 is caused by a hard drive/HDD problem, much like all of the problems in the "e6x" family of error codes on the Xbox 360 platform. It can be caused by an internal connection error with the hard drive, a general failure of the hard drive, or overheating of the hard drive. Basically, there is quite a large range of things that can cause the Xbox 360 e68 problem, which can make troubleshooting the issue slightly difficult.

Hello! no need to worry! the E68 error code is one of the more simple things to fix. most of the time it's just simply a hardware fluke. Attached you will find detailed instructions on how to successfully restore your hard drive and eliminate the e68 error code. If unfortunately, you must purchase a new hard drive, you can find reasonably priced drives at your local electronics or computer store.
If the steps listed in the link fail, the contact information for Microsoft is included as well. Good Luck!!

On my xbox360 i got the e68 error message and i took the hard drive out, and then put it back once the xbox was on and i went to memory on the system settings and for my main profile it said corrupted...

can you still access anything else that was saved on your hard drive?
such as demos or anything else you downloaded, etc? generally that means your hard drive has over heated, or worse, crashed. but! you got lucky that your whole xbox didn't crash with it. there is a chance you can save your hard drive and all your files. there is a how to here: http://ezinearticles.com/?Xbox-360-E68-Error-Fix&id=2549596

E68

E68: Voltage Error... This error means that the Xbox 360 has insufficent power to function properly. This can be caused by an error in the hard drive or the fans that make them **** up too much power, it can also be caused if you have unnecessary accessories attached to the console like an external fan unit. Attempt to remove unnecessary accessories first, and then necessary components such as the hard drive and USB devices. If you have any case mods you may want to investigate those as well

This error code appears in the center of a black screen on the television or on the monitor. If you receive a different error message, you are experiencing a different issue. It could be a problem with the Hard Drive itself or a problem with the internal connection to the hard drive, Try removing the hard drive and playing without it, This can also be caused by a Hard Drive Eprom Error. Some also believe this might be caused by a problem with the fans.
