You can try by cleaning your cartridge heads. The best way is to put your cartridge heads in warm water for like 5 mins and the clean the terminals using alcohol swab.

Changing heads How does the 622 flash change its heads

The flash heads just plug into the unit. You slide off the normal head and slide in a different one. The pins also code the GN changes so the display on the back are consistent with the head used.

Philips suggests changing the heads every 12 months. The indicator is instructing you that it is time to change them. You will find replacements for model 1060x at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

Some nozzle on print head is clodged. Remove the head, on some cloath, spill water and few times press head nozzles on it ( bottom side ), dry it and then do the head cleaning. If dont help change print head, when print head is changed its also recomended to change absorber and purge unit too.

Yelllow wont print,...changed cartage cleaned

If after cleaning the print head and changing the cartridge yellow still doesn't print, it sounds like there may be a problem with the print head or the board that controls the print head. The print head may not be receiving the signal to turn on. Check the circuit boards on the machine for obvious damage or a burn smell. Depending on the model printer it may be cheaper to replace the printer than to have the board or print head replaced.

Blown head gasket

I would change both, as well as use new head bolts. Make sure your heads are not warped or cracked, especially the one that is leaking. There may not be any need to change the head if it is not cracked. These are prone to blowing a gasket especially after 150K miles or so. It will not cost a huge additional amount to change both head gaskets since the engine will have to be disassembled down to the heads anyway. Hope this helps you, Rick

Change printhead in 5500

To change the printer head on the Kodak 5500 AIO printer, you will need to do the following:

To remove the old printer head,
  1. Power on the printer.
  2. Lift up the lid to expose the printer head.
  3. Once the printer head moves to the middle, where you can get at it, then unplug the power cord to the printer.
  4. Remove the ink cartridges.
  5. With the printer head now empty, run your finder along the underside of the top of the printer head, all the way to the left side of the printer head.
  6. Push up with your finger where there is some give, and the shroud that holds the printer head will release the head.

To install the new head,

  1. Simply put it in place, and push forward with your finger on the sticker that shows a finger pushing on a sticker, and you will hear and feel it click into place.
  2. Reload your ink cartridges, close the lid, plug the printer back in and you're done.
