Probably, as long as it's just the jack.

Average cost to replace a laptop power jack is around $85 (USD), but it can vary depending on price and availability of the jack itself, and just how hard it is to get to and replace.
Laptop manufacturers love to stick the power jack on the bottom of the motherboard, underneath EVERYTHING else, so in most cases, the laptop has to be completely disassembled. Replacing the jack itself is usually about 5 minutes, but gettin to it, then putting it all back together takes an hour or so on average. Not to mention, in some cases we are talking about screws so small that I've actually had them get stuck under my fingernail before. Personally, I tend to use a low-temp hot glue gun to try to reinforce the jack once I've replaced it. My repeat repair rate (not warrantied, 're-broke') dropped about 40% once I started doing that.

85 bucks is a lot cheaper than a new laptop.

How to fix power socket on D70PRO

The only option is to buy a used one from a local seller or eBay.com or just purchase a new PCB that's the only option if you try to connect to the battery direct you stand a good chance of causing it to explode! Good luck!

How to replace a broken stud on 99 pontiac sunfire

hub studs are just a press in fit . the replacement can usually be done with out the hub removal. remove the drum /disc rotor
using a hammer and punch drive the broken stud out. place new stud in position and pull in to place using nut and spacers to get it home .
if you can remove the hub and drive the broken stud out . fit new stud and place the hub over something like a piece of pipe /socket the new stud in the pipe or socket) that is on something solid and hammer the new stud home.

Laptop port is broken

When you connect the power adapter into the laptop, does the power LED light up? If not then - The battery adapter or the adapter's power lead or the laptop's power socket could be faulty. Check power adapter's DC plug that connects into the laptop power socket with a multi-meter, the voltage should be slightly higher than the voltage that is printed on the label on the bottom of the adapter. If the voltage is zero or way below the voltage that is printed on the label then the power adapter is faulty and needs to be replaced. If the adapter is OK then connect it to the laptop and power it up, then look at the power/battery charging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's power socket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position this LED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a dry solder joint where it is connected to the motherboard. This can be repaired but it requires the laptop to be completely dismantled to get at this power socket and repair. If you cannot DIY then I suggest you get a quote first.

I just moved my Acer 19" monitor and everything went off. I checked all the connections but it is not turning on. any suggestions?

Check the VGA lead, it is possible that when moving the monitor, you damaged one of the pins that connects in the socket on the monitor, remove the lead and also inspect the socket if there is a broken pin inside it remove this and try a new vga lead.

If no pins are broken and / or the power is not even reaching the monitor, check the kettle lead, look for signs of damage to the rubber / plastic plug and the socket on the monitor (assume this one is fed directly from the mains?), If you have been unfortunate enough to have damaged one of the pins that is in the socket you will need a TV repairman to fix this.

Check also the condition of the lead itself, for breaks and whether the fuse in the plug has blown.

After that, your problem will need to be looked at by a qualified TV repairman, as the fault must lie on the board itself

I don't have the AC DC 12V in (power cord). What kind is it?

Not only do you need the correct voltage and amperage (MAH) but you need the corectly sized plug to fit the socket AND it has to be in the correct polarity. Usually the polarity is marked by a broken circle with a dot in the middle. Leading to this dot will be an arrow or just a line and at the other end of the line will be either A positive (+) or negative(-) It's important you get this polarity correct when plugging a new power supply in.

Your local electrical store should be able to sell you either a fixed 12volt supply or even a variable supply allowing 3, 6, 9 or 13 volts output. Make sure it has the amperage capacity you need. It won't matter if you need 500Mah and the supply is 750Mah as long as it isn't less than what you need.
The power supply should come with an assortment of plugs which are insrted into the socket on the end of the power supplies lead. Follow the instructions on the packaging and ensure you have the center pin set as either + or -. If you are in doubt. Take your speaker which has the socket fitted and show the salesman. He should be able to pick the correct plug and make sure it's the right way around.

If you plug it in and nothing lights up, quickly remove the plug and turn it 180 degrees in the power lead socket. Obviously it's been put in the wrong way round. If you were quick enough no damage should have occured and away you go.

Just one tip. Wrap a small piece of insulation tape around the plug to stop it from being pulled out of the power lead's socket. They do tend to work loose after a while. Oh and make sure it's switched to 12 volts if you get the variable one.

Hi Mu c1020 have prover problem , it seems that

Hi,

It sounds like the DC socket has either worked itself loose from the motherboard or it has broken off. Either way this problem can be repaired.

You have 2 choices available to you, you can take the laptop to reputable computer repair store and have them fit a new DC socket for you, or you can purchase a DC socket from places like eBay for example and disassemble the laptop to solder it in yourself.

In both cases the cost should be fairly inexpensive.

Please post back if you require anymore assistance.

Regards.
