the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Hi

I think that we can get at least one of them going again :)
I suggest

  1. take the lids off both of them.
  2. load up some Cd's and close the drawer and watch what happens.
  3. does the disc begin to spin, is not, do you hear any noise as it tries to read each disc.
  4. can you kick start the CD when it first loads(clockwise direction)
  5. if not of these things happen, can you see if the transport loads the cd up off the tray.
While you are in there, with the front drawer open you should be able to see the laser lens. Use a cotton bud moistened with windex(glass cleaner) gently clean the lens in a circular motion and then also polish it with a dry one to be sure you have left no smears on the lens. Then.... try the unit again and see if the CD reads.
If you don't have any luck this far, please post back to me and we can try some other things. All this and you give me a FixYa... YAY :)

This is a faulty loading motor. you will need to replace the entire optical lens assembly in this case. the motor is part of the assembly.

SOURCE: Display doesn't work on TEAC PD H300mkIII

I had the same issue today. I found that opening the unit you can see that there is a white ribbon cable connecting the head unit to the main board. removing this cable and re-inserting it the connector fixed the problem. The display now works again...hope this helps

SOURCE: I turned on my TEAC

Hi,

Switch off power, remove cover. Remove four screws holding top black plastic disc cover and then remove all of the black plastic ( x 7 ) disc holders. You may find that the aluminum cross structure has come adrift. Replace into the slots again and replace all the disc holders. If you want, you can check before replacing cover, by then ejecting and 'disc skipping'. It should then be OK. If it has been forced, the aluminum cross structure thing may have also come out of the slot it should in in on the right hand side. Slide the disc frame in or out until it can be fitted and retest.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

The problem is not with the display panel, it is with the changer mechanism. It may cycle through all five disc positions without playing a single one

After 16 months our PD-D2610 CD changer has started misbehaving. Some of the 5 positions work fine but positions 1 & 4 almost never work.

I read enough comments from unhappy TEAC owners with similar problems to learn that the drive motor is to blame and that repair sounds like sending good money after bad. I'm going to buy a Sony changer.

Cd disk player won't spin cd

HI, this is a basic spin motor fault. This unit will require service at this point. The actual affected motor is buried within the optical assembly, and will require a set of precision tools to disassemble correctly and safely.
Replacing this damaged spin motor will correct this issue.

I works mechanically, but doesn't play the CD

try cleaning the lens first use a lint free swab and GENTLY clean the lens. don't use any liquid on this. if that doesn't work then load a disc and gently spin the disc when it lifts into load posistion. if begins to spin on it's own then replace the spindel motor. if it still does not spin, replace the optical pickup, the EF sensors inside the pickup no longer have the ability to read (see) the disc.
