Question about Televison & Video
The easiest way to test a remote is to get either a camera phone or a digital camera so you can view the picture without having to take a picture and aim the remote at the camera then watch the camera while pushing a button and you will see a light, light up off the end of the remote. If you are getting a light then the it is more then likely the main pcb, it is kinda rare that the IR board goes bad. If you aren't getting a light then replace the batteries and test again, if there is still no light then replace the remote.
