Zanussi 1400 Front Loader: Machine washs clothes as per normal but does not drain the water and cannot go into the spin cycle. Sits there doing nothing then starts bleeping.

This is almost certainly a simple problem with your empty pump filter being clogged. The empty cycle is timed and if it can't get all the water out in time because the filter is blocked and slowing the empty down, then it will fail safe and won't step on to the final spin cycle with excess water in the drum. While it's trying to get the water evacuated, you will probably see the machine doing a slow tumble for up to 8 minutes and you may also hear the empty pump running too.

You need to locate and clean the filter. Depending on the model (You haven

Fills with water, drains, will not spin. sometimes will not fill

This is almost certainly the filter to the empty pump blocked. When you power up the machine, the first thing it does is make sure there is no water left over in the tub, if it can't evacuate any water it finds there, it won't go any further. Same on a spin, if after a set time the water hasn't emptied the empty cycle will stop but the spine cycle wont start because there is still water in the drum.

Locate and clean your empty pump filter.

After wash cycle, tube will not drain water?

Probably a blocked empty pump filter. Spin won't kick in until all the water is evacuated. If there is a little left, the machine will do the slow turn cycle that it does just before spin starts but not start the spin cycle because of the water in the drum.

You need to locate the filter and clean it. That should fix your problem. Once this is done, remember to keep the filter clean every few months.

I have a fisher and Paykle GW612 washing machine, it won;t drain the water and won;t do the spin cycle. It now is making a huming noise. I think it is the motor that has an issue?

There should be a tech sheet located underneath the control panel that has the procedure for putting the machine in "diagnostic mode" and you can easily run the water pump by itself. Listen for a "hum" sound- If you hear a hum instead of a running water pump, then something is keeping that pump from turning for sure.

If this is the case, then you would need to check your water pump. It is located underneath the machine in the right front corner (as viewed from the front of the machine)
There is a black plastic external cooling fan impeller that you can spin with your finger (of course unplug the machine first) and see if the pump spins freely. You should also examine the pump for signs of leakage or corrosion. You may simply have an object that was left in someone's pocket that has become lodged in the pump. Pump removal requires no tools, however you need to first bail out as much of the remaining water in the wash tub as possible.

Water would not drain and was slow to spin

Hi Rick. Now on the FISHER@PAYKEL machines they will not spin properly unless all the water is out of your machine. Please look underneath the machine for me and you should see the pump which has a fan attached to it .It is located to the front right. Now turn the fan clockwise and anticlockwise a few times to loosen the pump as it may be jammed. The fan should freely. To look under the machine 1st you must bail some of the water out by hand with a small bucket or pot, enough to lean the machine back so you can look under the machine without it leaking everywhere. Now once the fan turns freely put it back on its feet and select a spin cycle and push the start button.Hopefully the machine will start to drain and spin. Please reply back on how you got on or if the machine still does not drain.

Washer won't spin or drain water

Sounds like a blocked pump (turn on, advance thru to spin, press start- do you hear a humming noise? if yes, pump is blocked).
Disconnect from power.
Manually bucket as muh water out of machine as you can. Then lean machine over so you can access underneath machine.
Drain pump located right front- it has a kind of fan blade at the bottom. This fan blade should turn very easily- if not, there is a blockage.
-To remove pump, remove plug wires from pump (1 plug with 2 wires, 1 plug with 1 earth wire). Then there is a white plastic tag located at the top of pump-pull this gently towards you, and turn whole pump assy anti-clockwise. Pump assy will drop out easily- do not force (note- water will come out too- put down some towels!!) Remove any blockage from pump, and reach fingers into bowl where pump has come from to check for any blockages. If OK, reassemble and retry.
